So my mom and I are going on a quickie trip to Disney this February ('06) as a mother-daughter trip... I am 16. We had planned on staying at the BWI WV, but called today and were told that it is already sold out (I'm shocked! :confused3 ) So now I am having trouble choosing between our other choices (my mom spoils me and lets me pick most of the time :flower: )-- these are rooms that were still available for our trip dates.

The choices are:
*Grand Floridian Garden View
*Beach Club Water View
*Boardwalk Inn Standard View
*Contemporary Tower View

I have stayed at both the BC and CR, but was in a standard room at each. I don't think I would want to stay at the CR in February if not all the rooms were remodeled yet-- it seems a waste. I have always wanted to stay at the GF, but my mom was thinking we might save it for a week-long vacation when I'm a senior next year? The BC is probably my favorite resort (right up there with the Poly) and I have always wanted to stay in a WV room there (I fantasized about it when I was a toddler!), although I'm not sure how good the water views are because of the possibility of seeing a pool instead... which would kind of stink. Finally, there is the BWI. It seems pretty to me and I love the Boardwalk itself-- but I doubt I would like the Inn as much as the BC and the courtyard views even seem kind of quiet/secluded? And I would be disappointed if we got one of the parking lot views. eeeks I don't know- I love all of these resorts!

So considering most of you are mothers yourselves, where would you go with your daughter for a 3-night trip in February? I can't decide!

well I was all up for helping you out, until you mentioned being a toddler at the BC. Could you make me feel any older?

Seriously, I'd either stay at the BW with the standard view and cross your fingers, or the BC.

haha-- sorry Stacy! If it makes you feel any better, it really doesn't feel like it was that long ago! :teeth:

I am leaning towards the Epcot area since it's been longer since we stayed in that resort area--but I can't decide between the BW and BC.

So any more opinions? Please?

BC Waterview! I think it will give you the nicest view and the convenience of being close to two parks and great entertainment and food (Boardwalk).

I'm a fellow Nutmegger too!

If it is truly a quick trip, I would definitely recommend the Contemporary. The convenience is unbeatable!!! It would end up saving you lots of prcious time in the traveling around department!

Boardwalk and Beach Club are convenient for Epcot, but IMO, if your time there is limited, I would opt for the Contemporary for the monorail service.

Just something to think about!

Well, we decided on the BW Standard View. I'm bummed about not having the promenade view, but hopefully the standard view will be nice too! It looks like it will be a lovely resort to stay in. Thanks for all your input :)

BWI, better chance of getting a balcony than BC and it's fun! I don't know, though, mother-daughter, the Gf might be fun!
