EE soft openeing?

Ohhh, I hope this is true. We're there in 3 weeks time. AK is my least favourite park in Orlando by a long way and only visit because we're travelling thousands of miles.

Will be there when the park opens if this ride is up and running!

I called Disney and was told that EE is open now till The 1st week in March.

I'll be there just in time!

DH and I rode it twice on Thursday, 2/2. Wow, it was really good.

We were there last Thursday and they told us at the gate it was a soft opening. (not an extra magic day either)

So ask when you get there.

I just got back from WDW. I was very disapointed to see that we would miss the AP opening during January. We went to AK on the morning of Sat 2/4 and sure enough EE was open!! We walked right on, no wait, twice. This ride is awesome! Even my 6yo DD enjoyed it (suprising since I had trouble getting her on Space Mountain two days earlier). I can't wait to go back in May and ride again(and again, and again.... )!!

We just got back too! I was disappointed that we missed the AP event by one day as well. But, when we went to the AK the cast member at the gate told us it was running! We hoofed it over right away! It was GREAT! We rode it 8 times in a row, then came back later for 3 more rides (the only reason we didn't ride it more was because it started to rain! ).

Just returned home last night. We rode EE on Saturday early afternoon twice. Both times the wait time said 20 minutes, but actually waited about 12-15 minutes. The ride is great. When you reach the top of the outside hill, try to look around. You can see so much your up that high!! When the ride was over all the CM's were clapping and welcoming us back. Several CM's told me this was the last weekend for soft opening and it would close till the official opening in April.

I hope this isn't the case or that they were just meaning "weekends". I will be down there in 6 days and from all accounts I have heard it is going to be open at least through Feb.

If anyone comes back or has ridden it this week during the week, please post and let us know.

We were just there last week and missed the soft openings, we did AK on 1/30 and it wasn't open that day, but we never went back to AK, I heard on 2/3 about the soft openings but we had other things planned and couldn't get back to AK. Glad it hear it is a great ride, we will definitely try it out when we go back in a couple of years.

We were there on Saturday and it was open. DS11 and I asked a CM at the gate if it was open and she didn't know. We were on our way to Africa and heard screaming from Asia. No wait time - zero - and we went on it twice. I am not a fan of roller coasters, and this was the best ride I've ever been on!

hey all.. posting from my treo phone... I went to Animal Kingdom today. I was not sure what to expect but I headed right for Asia where the ride wasn't running yet but the fast passes were open. there was no line for those but there was a line coming out of the que for the normal line.

I got my fast pass and came back in a half hour to ride. All I have to say is that this ride is AMAZING!

I went right back on the standby line which was only ten mins. the line never got over a half hour and even that went quick.

with a combination of fastpasses throughout the day and doing standby I rpde it 9 times!!

I can't wait to go back again this week and try it again!

Didn't the soft opening for Mission Space last awhile?
I personally think they just need to keep it going! I mean, really, we don't mind helping them do research on crowd patterns, etc... We want to do our part to help WDW, right??? I think this would be a great way for us to all help! Team spirit and all!!

Just back. Heard it was open on Sunday. Rode on it Monday and Tuesday, no wait lines. Great ride!
