When we check in we don't get room keys for the kids. Will the kids be required to show a room key if they are entering with us their parents?

If the children are too young to get park tickets they need no ID for EMH. I don't remember at what age they do require park tickets. You may want to check this out on allearsnet.com.

All resorts provide resort ID/room cards for every member of the party who is listed on the reservation with the exception of children under the age of three. They make for neat souvenirs, too

And they now print each persons room key with their own name on it.
