We will be in the parks for Indigenous People‘s weekend, which is our usual October trip. We know from past experience that it will be super crowded, but we aer prepared! We will have resort guest EE, and tickets to OBB for Sunday night. I am thinking we will do EE at DCA on Sunday, hoping that folks with one park per day tickets will not want to “waste” it on DCA with a 6pm closure. Can anyone who has been there this Halloween season comment on the EE crowds at DCA on an OBB day versus a non-OBB day? Just hoping to zig when everyone is zagging on this super busy weekend!

I think it’s a good strategy. Being a holiday it may or may not pan out, but I have been to DCA two mornings during this holiday season where the crowds were lower than DL. I wasn’t there for EE or even rope drop, but it was noticeably less crowded at DCA compared to when I hopped over to DL.

Edited to add: I didn't specific but those were two OBB mornings ... and DL was definitely business on those mornings. Blaming this on my tired brain after last night's OBB. 🤣

Thank you! I am really hoping this is the case. It Is always an incredibly busy weekend, but we will have a great time with planning, EE and maybe a little pixie dust (by way of a MEP, if anyone is listening!)!

We didn't do early entry but we made DCA our starting park for Sept 17 which was a party day and we thought the crowds felt light in the morning. We used the same strategy for a Sunday in October two years ago.

We used EE at DCA on the OBB days last week and it was great. The park was pretty nice all day until mis afternoon.

This is going to be our strategy also that weekend. Struck out on OBB tickets so we’re going to rope drop for EE on Sunday 10/8 and go until the 3:00 OBB crowd arrives. We have park hoppers so might go to DL that night.

Thanks to all for the great updates!! Will be there in two weeks!!
