EE Days - Should I or Shouldn't I???

Trying to decide if our family should do a couple of EE days or if it would be better to schedule around them. We are planning on going in November. Here is the tenative schedule we have planned.

Saturday - arrive at WDW. May resort hop, do the pool (weather permitting) or head out to a park. Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern.
Sunday - Epcot, Lunch at Garden Grill
Monday - MK - breakfast at CP
Tuesday - AK - lunch at RFC
Wednesday - MGM - breakfast at H&V
Thursday - unplanned (DTD or water park)
Friday - unplanned (leave in PM).

What do you think? Should I change MK and MGM to avoid the EE Day? Thanks

Your schedule looks fine except for your first evening.

Saturday is EE day at the Magic Kingdom and arriving late on Saturday the crowds will be awful! I would schedule your first dinner at either Epcot or Disney-MGM Studios.

EE is Great for the the first couple of hours of the morning IF you get there when they open. Then after the crowds start to catch up with you, then get out of dodge and go to one of the other parks!

And especially don't be caught in the Magic Kingdom on Saturday after about 11:30 am!!!

Have a Great Disney Day!

Thanks for your input Carol. We aren't planning on actually doing MK on Saturday. We only plan on going in long enough for dinner and the fireworks. My main concern on doing dinner there on Saturday is that according to the schedule last year for November, Saturday evening is the only night that fireworks occur around 9:00. The rest of the nights they were at 6:30 or 7:00. I could schedule the dinner on another night but do you think it would be okay if we just did dinner and the fireworks?

I like EE if you are normally early risers. If you will not be waiting for the rope to drop then I would avoid the EE park and go to the park that had EE the day before.

If you do EE, plan to change parks at midday or go back to resort or DD

I think you should avoid parks on EE days. Visit a park the day after the EE day.
That's what I try to do.

Simba, are you using unlimited magic passes or annual passes? I'm only asking because for me, the one day ($50) I'd lose on my hopper pass just for dinner and fireworks wouldn't be worth it. I'd stick with a resort for dinner, maybe Chef Mickeys at the Contemporary and then watch the fireworks from there for free.

The rest of your plan looks good to me. If you do decide to go to EE, get in early, get out early, and you'll be fine!

If your only there for the fireworks then I would definitely have dinner at the California Grill and watch the fireworks right from your dinner table with the music piped in or at Chef Mickeys, then take the elevator up to the observation deck and watch them from there.

Now, however, if you want to see Spectromagic (if it is showing that evening) then you'll have to be in the Magic Kingdom, but Tony's Town Square might be a better restaurant then you can see the parade right from your dinner table, however, you will have to wander out into the middle of Main Street to see the fireworks.

Have a Great Disney Day!

Lucky4me - Yes we do have the unlimited magic passes. If we didn't have these we would definitely be doing dinner at a resort. Thanks for your advise. I have rearranged the schedule somewhat. We are still planning on doing dinner at Liberty Tree. Not sure if we'll stick around for the parade and fireworks on this particular day. I have decided to switch our day at MGM to Monday (to avoid the EE crowd) and MK to Wednesday (also to avoid the EE crowd).
