EE and park hoppers question

Hello all...
So, I have yet to buy our park hopper passes. I was planning on buying
4-day hoppers and on our first night just hitting DTD and the hotel. However, after reading lots of posts I might change us to 5-day park hoppers so we can go in our first night there and hang out a bit. What are your ideas on that? Worth the extra money?

Also, how many EE do I get with a 4 or 5 day park hopper? Are there different types of EE passes? I thought I saw one for MM and one for TT? Is this right? How can I get one for both?

If you are staying at a DL resort hotel, you can get in on any MM. However, you only get 1 MM with a 3 day or higher hopperpass.

I would reconsider buying your passes early as you can get a discount doing so rather than buying them when you arrive.

You can get TT passes if you purchase a package, but not with a hopper alone.

If you buy your park hoppers from getawaytoday.com then you get two Magic Morning entries. The only way to get the Toon Town Morning Madness is with a package - ie. Walt Disney Travel Company or Costco.

I would look at the price difference between a 4 and 5 day pass and then factor in what time you should arrive inside the park(not in Anaheim). Then determine whether you'll get $x dollars out of the evening you spend in the park.

Ok so we're staying at the Hojo and did not buy a package. So, I DO plan to buy my pases early and not there at the gate, I just haven't done it yet because I had a few questions I wanted answers to So it looks like I'll get them from getawaytoday as I was going to get our character meal vouchers there too.

Only thing...4 or 5 day? opinions on that?

Slam Dunk.....5 day.

The price difference is minimal. Whether for a couple of hours the night of arrival day, or a couple of hours on your departure day.....it's worth it.

(I'll never understand why women think that male family members would prefer to "enjoy DTD" - a mall - when DL is a 2 minute walk away. )

& if you're not familiar with the lay of the land, or FP etc. it's REALLY worth it to spend a couple of hours checking things out the night before.

Finally....the first 3 hours of the day & the final 3 hours of the day are the BEST time to enjoy the parks.

Thanks for the replies Knight and Hound. I definitely will check out the price difference and see what we think. However, on the contrary it was I wanting to go in Disney and DH wanting to stay in DTD. We are hardcore football fans and he was thinking of catching Sunday night football at the ESPNzone lol. Depending on the game schedule, maybe we'll do Monday night football there. I guess we will have to decide what we want to do with that haha.

Sorry, I misread your original post. I thought you were planning to get your 4 day at the hotel. My bad.

Just remember that with buying your passes at Getawaytoday, you get a voucher and have to go to a ticket booth to trade them in for your actual ticket.
