EE and Next in line

I will shamelessly link my critique of Early Entry (posted 3 weeks ago). Please be advised:

- we stayed offsite at the Fairfield Inn.
- but we had a 3 day park hopper (so we were entitled to ONE day EE)
- we used it on a Tuesday. (EE began at 8am - the park opened up at 9am for everyone else that day.)
- I had posted similar question(s) that you posted about 5-6 weeks ago, & followed the advice of DizzyAmi & HydroGuy pretty closely.
- The most important thing to remember (imo) is to get there early & to grab FP's early & often. (HydroGuy's FP thread linked above was very helpful / informative on this.)
- i also believe in "mid day rests"....so going early fits nicely into my family's touring plan.

What a shameless plug!!!!

-Alice - (I don't remember it from 40 years ago....i liked it....would even like it better if Jefferson Airplane was soundtracking). Waited maybe 2 min.

Thanks a lot. Now the song "White Rabbit" is going to be going through my head on that ride. Something tells me there isn't going to be a Rockin Alice promotion any time soon.

We're dating ourselves CannotWait4Disney...:)

Nope, they probably won't be doing a "Rockin Alice" promo. But that's OK....I really enjoyed Alice & Mr. Toad. Which we BOTH know is in FL (not FLORIDA) ;)

OK....I guess i've been listening to Jefferson Airplane instead of looking at the Disneyland abreviations. I thought FL was Fantasy Land. (and previously i had thought it was for Florida). I looked on the Dis abreviation thread and couldn't find it.

Can someone help this acronym challenged DL newbie. :surfweb:

Actually I was messing around. It did mean fantasyland on the other thread and does. Time to borrow Johnny Carson's golf club. That one bombed. I guess that's why CBS hired Letterman and NBC hired Leno instead of me. But I'm funnier than Koppel.

Cannotwait4Disney....you're ALOT funnier than Koppel (although I'm sure he has funnier hair :lmao: ).

Glad we have THAT straightened out. :dance3:

OK I do have the idea down not the next thing.....
The day BEFORE we are going to DL it opens early and closes early....
And DCA stays open late...(this is Sunday the 22nd) SO heres the question..

As far as EE goes does the above info have any impact on if we should do EE on Monday or Tuesday?

Will people be to tired to do EE on Monday or be excited and want to get there early?

Are you saying you are going to DCA on the 22nd or not? If not, then definitely do EE on Monday. If so, then it depends on how late you stay at DCA on Sunday whether you want to do EE on Monday or Tuesday. In such a case I would play it by ear, but in general I think it is best to use your EE day as early in your trip as possible, as each day everyone gets a little more tired.

Actually we will not do DCA on Sunday. We won't arrive in Anaheim untill 1:00 pm so we will just go to DTD on Sunday... Then we start the Park on Monday.

So..
Sunday(22nd) arrive and do DTD... Rain Forest Cafe... BAB Workshop....Ect.
Monday(23rd) Disneyland
Tuesday(24th) DL and DCA
Wednesday(25th) DL and DCA doing the things we might have missed( or want to do again)
Thursday(26th) UP Early and Get out (going north on I-5) to try and stay out of HEAVY traffic.....(I hope 6 or 7 am will be early enough)

So Monday EE is Better?

Here is how I see it. The first day you will have the most excitement, the most energy and have the best chance at early bedtime the night before so the best chance at a full night sleep. So if you can do EE on your very first day, I think that is best.

In your case you are going during a week when DL park hours are 9AM-9PM. So EE is not until 8AM, and the park closes early each night. IMO this makes the EE decision less critical. On days when EE is at 7AM, and DL is open until 11PM or midnight, then doing EE the first day is more important because it is harder to get to bed early when the parks are open so late.
