On past trips, we've always spent a half day at AK (arrive at opening leave around 2:30pm). We love this park and although we've done most of the biggies, I've never felt like we had time to "do it all." For example, we've never seen the parade, rode the Rapids or seen Tarzan (and we never will see Tarzan from what I understand :( . I've read on these boards that AK begins to empty in the early afternoon and if you go to AK midafternoon you will almost have the park to yourself. This trip, on our first afternoon at WDW. we were planning on heading to AK in the early afternoon after spending the morning at another park. I'm wondering, now that EE seems to be open most of the time, will this effect the afternoon crowds at AK? Will rides like the rapids be packed w/ people waiting to ride EE w/ a late FP? (Later in the week we'll be at AK at opening and attempt to ride EE-I was just hoping to experience some of the lesser attractions at a less busy time in the late afternoon).

How about a BUMP for some responses..................

Yes it will.

We were just at AK last week and EE completely dominated the entire park (it was awesome). We got there right at 9am and went directly to EE. There was already a 30 minute standby wait and fast pass return was 10:30 - 11:30. They were only running EE until 2:00pm. All FP's were gone by 10 or 10:30 and the standby line was well over an hour if not 2 to get on later in the morning. the line actually stretched so far past the railings they had to move it to the other side of the walkway. If you want to ride EE, I suggest you get there as soon as the park opens and get a fastpass. I believe they also have a single rider line if you don't mind splitting up. Going late in the day you will never get on (at least not now). On the bright side almost every other ride in the park (safari and dinosaur) were deserted. No wait at all.
