My opinion:
And please note it says
:
I believe cheating on one's spouse speaks of your character & ethics or lack thereof
I believe that one cannot separate "personal" character/ethics from "public" character/ethics. If you are able to behave without character/ethics in one area of your life, you will be able to behave without character/ethics in all areas of your life
I feel badly for Elizabeth that she is ill, but, she did campaign for him after this news was given to her, knowing full well what he did. I am sorry, I take issue with someone telling me that "this man would be a great President" because frankly, his lack of character/ewthics leads me to think he wouldn't. Unfortunately, at this juncture in history, there are no political figures that I think have a lot of character/ethics. I think they are all power-hungry and self-serving. And I don't care which political party they are from.
And I bet the NE is going "nyah, nyah, nyah" to all the "respectable" news agencies that said that they were a tabloid with no real story.
I feel sorry for thier children, who have to watch this played out in the media. I don't feel sorry for two well-educated people who for some reason thought this would never come out. They got power-hungry.
I do not like the "John made a mistake" thing. A mistakle is when you miscount your change. Sleeping with someone is a choice...a bad choice for sure, but a choice nonetheless. It would have been a mistake had he slipped into a darkened room and had sexual relations with a woman & when the lights came on recoiled in shock because it wasn't his wife.
Somehow, I doubt that happened.....
