Here's the set up...

Using Disney Transportation we will exit MGM @ 6PM and want the fastest way to MK for 8PM Spectro and 9PM Wishes...

* Is there a direct bus from MGM to MK?

* Boat to Yacht Club - Bus to MK - (Bus Direct To Gate?)

* Bus to TTC - Ferry or Monorail to MK

* Bus to DTD - Bus to MK - (does the bus go to MK or TTC?)

* Other Ways?

Thanks!

I'll give it my best shot.

* Is there a direct bus from MGM to MK? NO. Just to TTC

* Boat to Yacht Club - Bus to MK - (Bus Direct To Gate?). Busses from
all resorts go directly to MK gate. Walk to Boardwalk from MGM
is probably quicker than boat to YC

* Bus to TTC - Ferry or Monorail to MK. Your best option IMO.

* Bus to DTD - Bus to MK - (does the bus go to MK or TTC?) . There are busses form DTD to TTC, not MK directly, but frankly you're headed in the opposite direction from MGM to DTD and then to TTC.

My vote is bus from MGM to TTC, then the monorail to MK.

Runner-up; walk from MGM to Boardwalk and get MK bus from there.

You could also take a bus to the Contemporary then walk.

I'd grab the bus to TTC or Contemporary--first bus that comes.

If you choose the walking path, you need to walk to Beach Club instead of Boardwalk because Boardwalk is the first stop in the loop, Beach Club is the last stop.

Another option if you are avid walkers, is to quickly walk all the way to Epcot, then through Epcot, then take the monorails.

Hey, I wonder how much for a Cab??
How could I find out?

So far I am leaning to either the Boat or walking to the first resort and taking the bus directly to MK gate.
This will bypass the TTC.

What is the first resort from MGM?
I am getting conflicting info...???

Thanks Again and keep them coming!!

The closest resort from MGM is the Boardwalk, however, the bus goes from Boardwalk, to Swan/Dolphin, then Yacht Club, then Beach Club, THEN to Magic Kingdom.

It will be quicker for you to continue walking to the Beach Club, then to wait for that bus loop.

Carol

I would either walk to Boardwalk and take the bus to MK from the Boardwalk or take the bus from MGM to the contemporary resort and walk over to the MK.

If you take a cab it will be under $20.00 but I am not sure you can take one directly to MK - probably to TTC where you would have to take the monorail or boat

If you choose a cab take it to the Contemporary and then walk to MK. You can also take the monorail if your very tired but it is the last stop from CR - much quicker to walk.

We vote with Happy2BGrumpy: Your fastest, easiest-on-everyone route is to take the bus to the Ticket & Transportation Center (TTC), then hop on the Monorail direct to MK.

Bus to the Contemporary and then the walkway to MK. When we were there at one time, we could get a bus from MGM to MK but that may not be the case anymore.

I would have sworn that there was a bus from MGM to MK as recently as March of '04. (But I could be wrong) I KNOW we have gone from MGM to MK and did not have to do any of the detailed stuff described on this thread. If the MGM-MK bus route still exists that would be the easiest way.

I remember watching the Stars and MotorCars parade and then being at MK by 5:30 eating a hot dog at Casey's corner.

WDW's "Transportation Guide/Map" states: "How to get to the MK From: Disney's MGM Studios. Take: Bus to TTC, then Monorail or Ferryboat."

On one of our trips we were going from MGM to MK for an e-night, and there was a bus for that. However I would estmate there was more than a bus load waiting, meanining we would have waited for a second bus to show up. As several posted, we took the CR bus (which had no line!) and walked to MK.

Regarding the BW bus, everytime we have stayed there, the BW is the last stop.

IME, busses from park to park come much less frequently than busses from parks to resorts. My guess would be that other than taking a cab, the fastest way would probably be to take the Contemporary bus and walk from there. Walking from the CR to the MK gate takes maybe 10 minutes, tops. Second choice would be walk to BC and take their bus to the gate, but that choice would be a lot more walking.

I guess I don't need to reply. However, if I were to, the Contemporary and then walking would be the quickest route of them all.
