I think we've narrowed down our selections for DS...trying to decide between The Edison and The Boathouse...

Look at both menus to see which one you prefer. I like the casual BOATHOUSE vibe (and menu) over the dark Edison atmosphere.

Both menus look good but we have never been to either...not sure which is better? Hence looking for others recent opinions/reviews.

You'll enjoy either, and not know you had a "lesser" time. Go with your gut.

The two restaurants are very different. The Boathouse has a light, breezy nautical air while the Edison is dark metal, industrial with a bleak vibe. We were in the basement of the Edison, which was not very exciting. When we were at the Boathouse we had a lovely table next to the window with a view of the lake. :)

We love both places but Boathouse is probably our favorite of all the DS places to eat

We have been to the Boathouse (dinner) once on our most recent trip, and the Edison (lunch and dinner) twice on other trips. They are VERY different restaurants from a cuisine, theme, and overall vibe perspective. Personally, I enjoyed the food better at Boathouse - I thought the Edison was "fine," nothing bad but nothing to write home about. On our trips to the Edison, I was a little letdown with the service; it was quite slow (even if it wasn't busy) and took a long time to get drinks. The service at the Boathouse was very, very good despite it being absolutely slammed. If I had to recommend one vs. the other, it would be the Boathouse.

We've done both and give the edge to Boathouse. Not that Edison is bad, just enjoyed Boathouse more.

We asked to be seated on the porch at Boathouse, and it was amazing. We had return reservations, and my DH got Covid, and of the many things we missed, I was really sorry about Boathouse. My adult kids ventured into Edison, and then went to Wine Bar George instead.

You will enjoy both. But I love the Edison. I love sitting there and listening to the music. Very Postmodern Jukebox sounding. If you don't know who they are, search on Youtube. And the cocktail, also called "The Edison" is the best drink on property in my opinion. But opinions, as you know, are subjective.
