I guess I'd forgotten they were separated but after 24 yrs of marriage they've filed for divorce.. Sad really... I really pull for those celebrity marriages that last more than a year or two!!

Yeah, that's too bad. I have to give it to her though. She stuck with him through some very trying times. He's almost a tragic figure or a manic depressive - just my speculation.

I read this on yahoo this morning and was strangely upset by it. It just makes me really sad...

I remember their marriage being seen as the first Hollywood/Rock'n'Roll wedding. Now they seen to happen every month.

It would have been cool if one of the oldest outlasted all those that came after, but I actually have to wonder how any of them ever make it. I even wonder why anybody even tries now after seeing the most of the others fail. Both cultures are not the type you go into to keep a marriage or family healthy.
