ECVs and Parking Lots

I just reserved an ECV for my October trip and now I have a question:

If I decided to drive to the parks instead of taking the bus, can the parking lot trams take an ECV? I don't have a handicap parking pass so I may wind up parking quite a distance from the park.

No, they cannot.

would be to get to the park early; so, you will be closer to the front. Especially good if you are on site would be to use the EMH for the morning and you should be really close that way.

Driving the scooter in the parking lot to the entrance of the park is not that bad no matter where you are located.

You can also let the parking lot CM directing traffic know that you have an ECV.

They will direct you to an appropriate place to park. If you are directed to the "Medical Parking"/Handicapped lot, some of the spots are marked with either a sign or with blue paint. Do not park in any of those spots without a handicapped parking permit because you could be ticketed.
The "Medical Parking" lots also have some spots a bit farther away that are marked with white paint. It is OK to park in those spots.

If you park in the regular parking area, just be aware of the trams and cars that may be coming up behind you.

Thanks for the help! I'm planning on getting to the parks when they open, so I should be okay.

The only parking lot that scares me is Hollywood Studios. I remember walking from my car, and it doesn't seem as pedestrian (or ECV) friendly as the others.

DHS Disabled Parking is, in my opinion, the best one. It is very close, surronded on three side by WDW bus stops. There are marked crosswalks from the parking area to the sidewalk.

And the bus drivers hate hitting pedestrians or people in wheelchairs or ECVs. There is way too much paperwork involved.

I agree with Cheshire Figment.
The handicapped parking lot at Disney Hollywood Studio is very nice. It is small though, and we have sometimes found it full when we arrived later in the day. If you arrive after it is full and someone else is with you who can drive, you can be dropped off at the front of the parking area and then the driver can park elsewhere.

I have actually had drivers stop and wave at me to cross DHS. They are super. I hate it when we are sent to alternative parking though because of the danger of driving the PWC and being unable to hear what is coming behind me. Because my loss is not equal on both sides directionality is near impossible.
