I just broke a bone in my right foot and am now in a cast & crutches for 4 weeks, and am also staying at the DLH August 30. I will rent an ECV
from DLH rather than have DH push me around the parks and DTD for 3 days (he's 6'4", so I can imagine the back-breaking effort a regular 'chair would be).
I won't be renting an ECV from the parks, but will rent directly from the hotel (DLH) instead. I know the arrangement, the pricing, etcetera. This weekend, I called DLH guest services to verify what information I could get from DIS forums. The ECV services that the hotels provide are contracted out to a 3rd party and (as a result) the ECVs are brought onsite upon request - apparently within 2 hours of my request.
If anyone here has had an exerience renting ECV's directly from the hotels, I'd like to ask them if the hotel ECV service (for delivery) was timely.
Thanks!
