Hi!
I've rented from scootorlando before. The
scooter wasn't the newest, but I didn't have any problems with it at all, it was reliable and tha battery lasted all day. (Except the day we forgot to charge it - doh!)
The best thing about renting from them was that the key came on one of those springy coiled plastic key chains that go round your wrist. I found this super helpful because I always knew where the key was - sometimes dresses/skirts/shorts don't have pockets so losing the key is easy!
I've also rented from 3 other companies - Randys, Life Air and another one. The first 2 were fantastic also, the third one was appalling and whilst I am probably not allowed to mention it by name, remember that CHEAPEST isn't always BEST. The first 3 days of our vacation was ruined by a dodgy mobility equipment company so go for quality!
Most companies have a couple of options for weight limits, the first is up to around 250 lbs and the second is around 400 I believe. Apple Scooters also have options within these brackets, and seem to be good value for money and have good reviews, so I might try them next time.
Hope that helps!

P.S (My advice? Rent offsite. Cheaper, no walk and wait at the park, definitely yours each day, and lighter more manageable scooters. Just MHO!!)
