I'm going back and forth on whether to take my Mom's ECV with us or rent one at WDW. She will definitely need assistance in the airport--no way she can walk to the gate, etc. But we could use a wheelchair instead. I know she would prefer her own "wheels" (ECV) but I've read messages about them getting damaged in transit and am concerned that we will get there and it will be damaged. What have people's experiences been with that? We're flying Delta.

Thanks!

I have only flown once with my own ECV--that was last July on Continental. I had no problems at all. I was a little worried as I was travelling solo--so no one but myself to depend on. It was great. I'm hoping my experience this June will be as smooth!
