ECV on monorail

I know that guests can request to ride in the cab of the monorail. But can someone in an ECV ride in the cab? This will be my Mom;s first & probably only trip to WDW & I'd like for her to enjoy as much of the magic as possible. She can walk short distances with a cane, but will be using an ECV for this trip. Any info would be appreciated.

The ECV won't fit in the first car but if she can walk you could request it and then someone could take the ECV back to the wheelchair accessible car and ride with her ECV.
