ECV Delivery & Return Questions

We will be renting an ECV for our trip in May. I keep going back & forth between a Disney recommended provided like Buena Vista and an non Disney like Walker Mobility. Can some one tell me how the delivery and return works for both?

The Disney recommended says they will leave it with bell hop, but how does the return work? do you leave it with the bell hop on your departure day?

The other you have to meet them to receive the ECV. I assume you have to do the same for the return? We will be leaving our resort at 6am on our departure day. Do they pick up that early or would they have to pick up the night before?

With a preferred you leave it at the bell station with non preferred you meet them to return you would have to find out from the vendor what time

For me it's the opposite way round. We won't get booked in until probably 8pm so it'll be too late to take delivery of the ECV the same evening. However, they will deliver from 7.30am and as we always wake up before 5am (having crossed the Atlantic and our body clocks being 5 hours ahead of FL) I've booked their first delivery. All I have to do is contact them (either using their 24 hour number or email them) to tell them where to come to drop the ECV off, and then contact Bell Services and explain that the company is coming and to let them in at the gate so they can drive round to our village to drop the ECV off.

For collection, I just let them know where and when I wanted the collection and we were given a one-hour time slot. In your case, as you're leaving that early, you'll need to make it the latest collection slot they've got so you're not without the ECV for too long. Do try and get the time slots booked as soon as you can, though, because if you go with a popular company you'll have to take what's left when you book.

I've booked with Florida Mobility Rentals and she told me that they're in and out of the Disney resorts all day due to their popularity. I've luckily got in early enough to get my first slot of the day, and have given them a tentative time of 5pm for the collection which I will firm up with where and when shortly before we're due to leave. I'm hoping they can come and collect it from Custom House at around 5pm so we can then collect our luggage from the luggage holding area, load up our hire car and drive straight to the airport.

I have always rented from Apple Scooter. I usually get in late so I have it delivered first thing in the am, they leave it with bell services. I also leave it with bell services, I had them the key and give my name and that is all I have ever needed to do, Apple will collect it from them.
