I am going to be using an ECV on my next visit and staying at CR.

Can you take an ECV on the boat shuttle to WL?

I think that some of the yachts can handle an ECV while others cannot. It depends oin what is running.

AFAIK they only use the small launches for the resort to resort trips. Those require a step down and for any stroller or wheelchair to be folded up so you would not be able to use an ECV. Both FW and WL have a small launch and a cruiser that provides service between the resort and MK. The cruiser can accomodate power chairs and ECV's and I believe that they now run those all the time - it used to be periodically.

If you wanted to get to WL you could take the monorail or cruise over to MK and catch the larger boat to WL from there.

There is more information about boats and which ones are accessible in post #8 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread. This includes some links to other pages with pictures. You can find the disABILITIES FAQs thread near the top of this board or follow the link in my signature to get there.

As was mentioned, the small motor launches are not accessible. The larger cruisers are, although water levels can sometimes make them temporarily inaccessible.

I stayed at WL & used ecv for the first time. Only the large boats can accommodate ecvs and they come often, capts are helpful. You have to back on to them. At first I had a very hard time, mostly b/c it was my 1st time. Sometimes the dock and boat ramp are not flush you have to go fast but then quickly slow down.
