EBPC December 9, 2012!!! Who's in????

Thanks for the feedback I was looking for an Art Deco kinda font since that's what the picture reminds me of, but I apparently don't have one on my laptop. But if that one works, I'll leave well enough alone.

I spent quite a bit of time today clicking links from the DISigns forum and found all kinds of cute things on photobucket that people have made for other Dis'ers. I figure if I can use something already made for another Julie, I don't have to bug them with a new request.

I hate to ask, but - well, if you're looking anyway, could you like make an album or something where the rest of us could find them easily? I'm computerly challenged with graphical stuff. (but give me a pair of scissors and real paper . . .)

Actually, there was a bunch of stuff for the 2011 wb - can anyone thing of an easy way to find it?

Again, I added our dates as it didn't have them before.

I haven't really complied a list yet, but I have a link to one of the photobucket albums I found with LOADS of stuff in it. It's by a Dis'er named milliesky and her stuff is just great.

If you click on the tab that says "Recent Albums" and then click again where it says "View All Public Albums," you'll find that she has folders upon folders of different things.

When did you join us? Did you book this on your Alaska cruise? This bunch is a lot more chatty than the Haunting on the High Seas. I keep waiting for Val and Bob to join us but nothing yet. Hope you had fun in Alaska, we hope to go next year so you'll have to tell me all about it.

I have a photobucket account. I upload the picture from my computer to photobucket, then click the link for "IMG code" which copies it. Then I just paste that link into the Dis post and the photo shows up when you submit.

I still can't get to the FB page from my phone or my touchpad so I haven't been checking it at all but I think it'd help if people introduced themselves on FB with their Disboard name too.

Love all the graphics but especially love this one since I can visually see just how many miles we will sail! I am so beyond excited about this cruise, even more than my WDW/Dream combo in August!

Well I did it. Switched from the 4 day Bahamas and WDW-Candle Light Processional to the Panama Canal. Crossing my fingers for a room mid ship - my DH can tend to get motion sickness, and likes the mid ship rooms.

Now to decide whether to fly in to LAX on the Friday or Saturday. The Friday gives that leeway for bad weather out of Buffalo. I always figured, if worse came to worse, we could drive to Florida. That ain't happening on this trip.

I am at page 22, so I better get reading.

Looking forward to getting to know you all more before the trip.

I'm flying in Friday, but I just left LA after living there for 7 years, so I'm going to visit a few people I know.

That's awesome. He will learn so much on this cruise and see things some kids never get to see in their lifetime.

So glad you mentioned how much they will learn on this cruise and I totally agree. I home school my 12 yo 7th grader and we have a whole education plan already in progress. We will be calling it "cruise schooling." We have carschooling and pool school here too. Learning is everywhere and anywhere. Just start with how the ship was built, stays afloat, engines, stability, math and measurements, speed, etc. and you already can get your teaching mind moving. Then add all the sights and history and you are really on a roll. My teaching mind is always on where I am, what I see, and what I can teach from all of it. Our Mediterranean cruise was amazing and so much was learned on that cruise because of all the history surrounding us. The chance to see, learn, and actually touch what others may never be able to in their lifetime...priceless!

Woooh I just read the entire thread this evening, gosh this is going to be fun!

I most certainly will want to do the FE & OE just need a few more posts to PM!

My current thoughts are to fly or drive from the San Francisco area to LA and how far ahead??

We have an active vocal toddler so either way will be a new challenge.
