Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Another day closer to cruising :)

Wonder who the Captain is going to be? We had Captain Fabian on the cruise to Hawaii - he was quite wonderful, but I think he was going to another ship after that cruise.

Happy Saturday, Everyone!

Count us in. We'd love to be your table mates. We don't allow whining unless it's in a glass and our teenagers are angles from heaven. :littleangel::littleangel: Summer is 14 and Autumn is 13 so I think it will be a good match. The girls said that if Brenna is interested maybe they can run deck 4 together. They wouldn't want to get out of shape by not training for 2 weeks. I have no idea where they get that from. Not my side of the family that's for sure. popcorn::

Sounds great, that would make 7 of us - it would be great to have another family or two join us - the more the merrier :thumbsup2

Are we the only folks from KY? Surely we aren't the only KY Wildcat fans? BO BIG BLUE. DD and I will be usually be found when the Cats are playing at Diversions. Any members of BBN are welcome to join:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

I grew up in Breckinridge County, Ky. Big time Wildcat fan! If the Cats are on, I will meet you in Diversions!

Everyone must be very busy this weekend. I left this morning and came back...no new posts :confused3

Today was #2 dd(34) birthday and dh's birthday was last Wednesday so we went for an early lunch at Ye Old Spaghetti Factory. Then it was off to watch dd(11) cheer for the Union Mine Jr. Rattlers Jr. Midgets football team. It's been hotter than heck at the past 3 games that we've been to.

I'm hoping we start to get some fall weather soon. We start to get a lot of people coming through town this time of year to go to famous Apple Hill. My mom used to love the apple cider and the take and bake apple pies. With around 50 farms and orchards to visit, it's a day long event with many of the farms having vendors and other events to keep the families entertained. For many years, we took our girls to the Teddy Bear picnic held at one of the orchards. Now, we tend to like to visit the Jack Russell Brewery there. Bring a picnic and sit out on the grass.

Anyway, did a little shopping tonite after cheer. I'm going back out mid week without the family so I can focus on stuff for myself. Leaving in 2 weeks for the Pacific Coast Pixar cruise and I could use a few things.

Linda

So busy this weekend. We are heading to Disneyland and then on the Pixar cruise before yours. Between that and real life it has been hectic. Once I'm back from that trip I'll feel like I can focus better on this one :thumbsup2

Crazy busy this weekend took my son and husband to the championship of Indy races at Fontana. Great experience for my son!!

Good Morning Fellow Cruisers,
We set sail in 12 weeks,
that is 84 sleeps!
Did you know?
Each of the movable lock doors weighs 750 tons.
There are 12 pairs of locks in the canal.
Each of the locks fills with 52 million gallons of water.

GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Yesterday was odd - NO INTERNET!:crazy2: It died around 8 am.

DH volunteered at the local volleyball tournament, so I had some friends over to scrap. Before that, I went to the gym, grocery, did two loads of laundry and tried to get the modem working.

We're in panera now, each on our own computer, but as soon as the shops open, we're off to buy a new modem. NO MORE loaners from Time Warner Cable!!!

It's a nippy 50 degrees F here this am.

Can't WAIT :beach:

Happy Day, All!

So I had an extremely busy day at work inspecting a crew that was watching concrete set. Somehow I managed to find the time to read some PC trip reports on my phone, thanks to the dis app. Not quite sure how I managed that! :rotfl2: I read a report where a dis group did a “Shot through the Ship” meet, where they went to every bar on the ship one night and got a drink. This sounded like a ton of fun for this party girl! After all, I did graduate from the current #1 party school in the nation! And I am pretty sure I have never seen all the bars on the Wonder. So does this sound like a fun idea to anyone? Is there any interest? Would anyone want to participate? I was thinking we could call it “Sip through the Ship”. I am going to start saving some OT money for this!

Bars on the Wonder:
Cove Café
Diversions
Outlook Café
Promenade Lounge
Signals
WaveBands

Feel free to add to the list of bars on the Wonder if I missed any!
If there are enough people interested, we could pick a date and time and set something up.

Just an idea

Sounds fun! We'd be up for that!

Well I just checked the UK basketball schedule and it looks like we will only be on board for one game if the even broadcast that. So can you say" Are you ready for some football?"

I have finally caught up to the end of the thread! Now I feel like I know what is going on and can take a bigger role in the group. I am a major pre-planner but have been so busy lately with work travel (St. Louis, Salem, OR, and Tulsa) that couldn't focus on this trip. Have 2 weekend trips coming up to Tuscaloosa, AL and Asheville, then nothing except cruise planning!!

I love the Sip around the Ship but prefer the 1 bar per day plan. I love to go out for a drink pre or post dinner but if I did all the bars in 1 day I wouldn't be standing at the end, or appreciating the different venues.

Tropicante sounds great and I like the idea of meeting at Tritons at 9:45 to all go together. :beach:

We are staying at the Doubletree the night before boarding, but arriving late. I like to get on the ship on the late side so there is not so much sitting around time in the terminal.

Looking forward to the FE exchange and spent some time today thinking of options. Must get moving on that! :rotfl2:

DW and I have a short 2 night stay in Gatlinburg on the 29th and 30th of October to get away so we don't go crazy waiting on the cruise. Dec 9th can't get here soon enough. It has been a draining year so far so this cruise should help with a battery recharge.:cool1::cool1::cool1:

I'll go with whatever the majority decides on the certificates. Originally I wanted 4 certificates but since learning the size of them, you can change my order to one!

With so many of you going to the Tropicante, it makes me rethink my plans for Costa Maya. Right now I have the boys and I scheduled for the Salsa making excursion. The bummer is that dd is not old enough and I don't really want to leave her all by herself on the ship. Tropicante looks awesome but I am a little uneasy going there with just the kids and I. Decisions, decisions....

I am sure there will be enough of us there to hang out with you guys. we don't have kids, but I am sure could help out if you wanted to get a massage.

we would love to go to Tropicante together. a little worried about getting there. Will meet at 9:45 at Tritons. I have only been on Magic though, so not sure where that is, but we will find it.

haileyboo her DH and me and my DH plan to eat together for the late seating. Anyone else want to join us? just need your reservation number and names and I will take care of it. Looks like we can have up to 8.
You can PM me. I am bad about checking here, or even when I am here, I forget to log in. But will get back to you.

I haven't been on for a few days and was worried there'd be tons to read. Glad to say that's not the case. The weather today was in the mid 80's. US Women's National Soccer Team played Australia today here in So Cal and we took Summer for her birthday. There were about 25 of us and we had a blast. US won 2-1. We drove past the port of LA on our way home and said, "Hi" to the Wonder. :goodvibes It was around 4:30 and as we drove by and you could see everyone on top getting ready for the Sail Away Celebration. I'm sooooo jealous of those of you that are doing the California Coast cruise. We just can't miss any more school than we already are. Maybe some other time. Seeing the Wonder makes us even more excited. Counting the days on our hands again. See ya all soon!

I was going to say the same thing. My Dh and kids would totally have you guys come with us. I'd be nervous about taking the kids by myself too. Although, since he works most of the time I usually am taking the kids by myself to most places on trips we've taken. This trip I'm not letting him work. He had to fly to Honolulu one day we were in Hawaii for work. So, from Hawaii to Disneyland I'm mostly by myself with the kids. So, come join us! We have kids around the same age.

We are heading to the Tropicante too. We have two DD's, under 8.

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

So glad you families with kiddos are meeting up - it'll be so much fun for the young ones to know someone already when they come on board. On some cruises the moms get the kids emailing before the cruise so they really do "know" each other.

So Cal Crew - you live so close to San Pedro, I should be asking you questions - Assuming it doesn't snow and hold me up somewhere enroute, I'll be two nights at the Double tree. Have you ever been to that aquarium, or the light house near there? Any advise welcome!

It's a nippy 48 here this morning. Fall is on the way! Can the cruise be far behind? Well, further than i'd like!

Happy Day, all!

I love watching the countdown shrink. We have a countdown on the big chalkboard in the kitchen. We got the notifications 'okaying' our daughter's absence from school last week. One more thing to check off!
Hubby and I are heading down to WDW on Oct 3rd to celebrate his birthday. Love free dining and the Food and Wine fest. We are going to be trying a few new restaurants, Cat Cora's restaurant at the Boardwalk and Hollywood Brown Derby.
Pre Cruise we are staying at the Renaissance Long Beach for one night. We are renting a car and doing some quick sightseeing. We did our online check-in and got the 11-11:30 arrival, very happy about that. We booked some shore excursions. In Cabo we are doing the Camel and Mexican Outback Expedition. In Cartegna we are doing the Tour of the Rosario Islands. We love to snorkel and are trying to get our daughter interested in it also and that seemed like a nice time. Costa Maya we are looking forward to the Mayan Ruins with the group(should be some good educational events). My twenty something kids think it is hilarious that we are going to be at the Mayan Ruins on the 21st of Dec. So far Puerto Vallarta is up in the air. I think cerveza, chips and guac sounds great!
We have dinner at Palo on the 14th and brunch the 16th. Oh yes and the Exotic Rasul sched for the 10th, gotta start the trip off right!
DD is requesting we bring her home a Merida dress from WDW. At 9 years old she is 4'9" and 97lbs, she is a size 14, I hope we find her one. She says she will wear it to formal night. The way she is growing, maybe a 16 so it still fits!
Ok enough Monday morning rambling from me. Back to :laundy:
