Well I haven't had a very good week. On Monday I was helping stranded refugees escape from an active volcano when I fell and completely tore my ACL and also have a torn mencisus. (It's possible I fell off a stool doing yard work but I think the volcano sounds better). As I was laying there my first thought was this had better not impact my cruise (it was closely followed by wow, this hurts). So now I have surgery scheduled for October 1st, I'm really hoping to be good for the cruise.

Love the creative version of the event not what happened. My boss broke her foot last weekend cleaning windows while standing on a stool and called me right after it happened for advice (I use to be a wilderness first responder) the story going around the office on how she broke it had nothing to do with cleaning! It made me laugh since I knew the truth to what happened.

I hope your surgery goes well and wish you a quick recovery. Hopefully you aren't in to much pain.

I agree. I like the volcano story MUCH better LOL!!! It gives you attitude. My friend had a torn meniscus and ACL repaired in July and is cruising with me on Wednesday. She's doing fine now!

I hope you're not in too much discomfort now. Thoughts of cruising will make it feel much better.

Our DHs should def. meet up, it will save me from having to listen to DH talk about work and promgramming. He never seems to pick up on the fact that I don't care and don't understand!


We finished the 5k this morning and we both clocked our worst times ever, though DH won first place in his age group. I need to get back in shape.....

I feel your pain. My dh is also a programmer and talks "in code" all the time! I just say "a huh" alot!

Previously, I've booked my own excursions privately, but I'll probably do some PA's on the EBPC. Am I correct in saying that I can cancel Port Adventures 3 days prior to cruise date without penalty?

If I book Port Adventures now, do they have to be pre-paid or are the charges placed on my bill?

I have a TA, but I don't know if that matters. My ability to "Add Activities" was greyed out for quite awhile, then it suddenly became available, so I have no clue what the trick is. Sorry that it isn't working for you.

I get so jealous everytime another group gets to add their excursions. But us newbies only have to wait another 15 days, so I suppose I can survive. Atleast I will be at work all night so I don't have to worry about staying up for it, I can just keep a disney screen open on my computer!

I've been trying to log on for the last 3 hours from Australia - and it's still greyed out. I think the site is probably pretty busy, with lots of people logged in, so I guess it's just waiting, waiting, until you get lucky. Though, have to say, this is my 5th cruise & this is the longest it has ever taken me to log into the system - not happy!
