Sorry Marla, yes it is 2:30 pm and the web site has been updated.
No problem.
Appreciate all you've done for your fellow cruisers! Sorry Marla, yes it is 2:30 pm and the web site has been updated.
Appreciate all you've done for your fellow cruisers! It has been a very long, very stressful week and I am really going to need this vacation.
There were a few bugs going around the ship last week. While were lucky enough to avoid the stomach bug, dd11 got the horrible cold/cough which has now been passed on to the rest of us, including myself. This triggered dd16's asthma which required a long emergency room visit Thursday night. Dh took an extra 6-8 hour job on Thursday and ended up working 32 straight hours. When he returned home late yesterday, our wonderful Border Collie Bernie could finally stand no longer. After almost 16 years, we assisted him in his journey and we laid him to rest late yesterday. I don't mean to complain when so many people up here have suffered losses and tragedies much greater than mine but with everything compounding, I just can't wait to get away.

That sounds like a horrible week!
Hopefully, the week to come will be better - and the NEXT cruise will be healthy and fabulous!

Okay, I think 14 nights would be our limit for a small cabin, but if you want that feeling on land...

Also need toin preparation for packing . . . Anything to keep from fretting over food for the flight and TSA.
Happy Day, all!

for you. We had to let our cat go earlier this year. It's never an easy thing and many months later, I still tear up when I think about her. The only thing I can do is keep reminding myself that she wasn't happy at the end and we helped her to a better place.
for everyone getting healthy this week!I need to book my shuttle from LAX to San Pedro Inn & Suites for Dec 8. We've used Karmel shuttle in the past, but I just read a horrible review that made me wonder if their service has gone downhill.
Which shuttle service are you using? Do you have a discount code?
I'm using Karmel. I've used them successfully four times in the past two years, so one negative review alone won't make me change my mind. One never knows if one review is a competitor, you know? Was it on the DIS?
)Because all the 40 or so cabins that wanted to give to everyone (Wonder) are also on the Cinderella tab, the Snow White tab, the Mickey tab, etc. Of those that wanted a smaller group (35-ish cabins), Tammy took 3-5 of them and paired them with the Wonder group to make about 43-45 cabins per smaller group versus 75+. Of course the White Rabbit group are the late-comers plus those that volunteered to add them to their list (whatever list they are on). Make sense?![]()
Lurking in the background - I can't seem to stop myself from checking this thread so I thought I would post one more time since most of you are beginning your travels this week.
While we are so disappointed that we aren't able to meet and cruise with you, we wanted to wish you a "WONDER"ful trip filled with lots fo great memories. Safe travels to LA and while on the cruise. We will be thinking of you each day and will be waiting patiently for you to return to hear all the details.
My recovery is coming along slowly - less pain each day, but I still have to use a walker to walk. I will be out of work for another 2-3 weeks minimum and I start physical therapy this week.
Enjoy your countdown and best wishes for a great time!!! Someone please have a Mickey Bar for me and a BBC (maybe 2 or 3)
Tammy
Glad to hear that your recovery is moving forward. Thanks for all the work you did organizing the FE. Don't feel like your problems are any less important than anyone else'sIt has been a very long, very stressful week and I am really going to need this vacation.

....there is no competition here! Sorry for your loss
.We'll be there with youI do hope there will still be people meeting and greeting past 2:30 because I am really hoping to check out the spa and hang out for the door prize draws. I didn't know about this last time and I would love to have a chance to win something.
. Two years ago (when it was just the two of us), DH won a massage, but last year (with five of us sailing), no such luck. [I'm assuming they still do this
] The M&G was at 3, which was about the same time they were drawing names at the spa, so I just gave my ticket to my DD and headed to the Promenade. The rest joined me as soon as the drawing was complete. So, hopefully, most of the gang will still be meetin' and greetin' when we can pop by.Gee, Tammy, we're also very disappointed you won't be sailing. I can only imagine how frustrating this is for you.....BUT, in the interest of cyber-friendship, I will be happy to have a Mickey Bar AND a few frosty beverages in your honor! That's just the kind of friend I am.Lurking in the background - I can't seem to stop myself from checking this thread so I thought I would post one more time since most of you are beginning your travels this week.

Ok so what's a BBC?
Bailey's Banana Colada, my sister and my fav pool drink!
You would hate flying with me! DH hates it as I ALWAYS get stopped for extra screening, without fail, both pre and post name change. I finally filled out the extra paperwork so we will see if that helps at all.Dealing with the TSA is another thing I've researched long and hard over the years. I've got everything down to a routine for travel days - what I wear, how I pack, the identification I use (PO box listed, not home address). I could rant for hours about the TSA, but I usually manage to restrain myself.![]()
DH has you covered on the Mickey Bar, he aims for 3 a day! And keeps a counter, I'll cover you with the BBC's. We will be thinking about you and your recovery, you will be missed!Enjoy your countdown and best wishes for a great time!!! Someone please have a Mickey Bar for me and a BBC (maybe 2 or 3)

Ok so what's a BBC?
I was figuring we'd just hop a cab from LAX. Is there a specific reason to get a shuttle?
Can someone PM me with the birthdays that will happen while we are onboard? I have cards we want to write out. Do those go in the FE's?
Thanks!
Tammy, I'll sign up for that responsibility as well....Thank you again for putting the FE together in the first place!
Speaking of FE, does anyone have any ideas of what to do if you move cabins after we set sail -- with such a large group, I'm sure it will happen to someone (how would you let others in your group know that you moved)?
