EBPC December 9, 2012!!! PART 2

Does anyone know if CyndiCarr is still wanting to do the FE as a late add? I had her on a list at some point with no cabin, but now I don't see he on the list.

I did not hear from her but did get another request so I replaced Cyndi with the new family. PLEASE look at the updates FE list on the master and White Rabbit list.

Packing...so NOT fun :crazy2:.

Executive decision made....no pantyhose this time :teeth:. Changing my whole approach to semi- and formal nights. Comfort all the way! ::yes::

So I just finished labeling all the fish extender gifts and packed them up...ummm, they took one whole large suitcase...and I would not want to be the porter that gets this one! It is rather heavy. I am just glad we are driving down to the port and not flying...I would be paying a lot for the weight! Now I have to figure out how I am getting my clothes packed! DH better pack light so I have room for my stuff!

Okay, I think 14 nights would be our limit for a small cabin, but if you want that feeling on land...

Wow - our travel trailer is almost as big as those homes!

Uh, what is the Tropicante? With everything going on I missed this. I googled and it shows it a restaurant owned by an American. Is there more? :goofy:

Here is the website. It's very highly rated on TripAdvisor too.

As I understand it, you do need to email Steve to reserve a beach chair/umbrella.
Yes, all you have to do is email Steve and he'll reserve loungers/umbrella for you at no charge. All he asks is that while you're at the beach, buy a drink/lunch there. In addition to lunch, I'm also planning on a few margaritas and a massage!

It has been a very long, very stressful week and I am really going to need this vacation.

There were a few bugs going around the ship last week. While were lucky enough to avoid the stomach bug, dd11 got the horrible cold/cough which has now been passed on to the rest of us, including myself. This triggered dd16's asthma which required a long emergency room visit Thursday night. Dh took an extra 6-8 hour job on Thursday and ended up working 32 straight hours. When he returned home late yesterday, our wonderful Border Collie Bernie could finally stand no longer. After almost 16 years, we assisted him in his journey and we laid him to rest late yesterday. I don't mean to complain when so many people up here have suffered losses and tragedies much greater than mine but with everything compounding, I just can't wait to get away.

Linda
 Sorry to hear about your stressful week. And losing a pet is always so hard because they are such a big part of the family.

If you're driving, can't you just pack another suitcase? The porters will give you an extra luggage tag or two:thumbsup2

I will have a FE list with cabin changes on it at stateroom #2026. I'll be at the M&G from 2:30 until about time for the safety drill, which gives people time to stay for the drawing at the spa. LindaBabe - at stateroom #5131 - will also have a copy. Please look for me at the M&G if you change your stateroom.

Also, LindaBabe is collecting FE gifts for Tammy, since she can't be with us. A big thank you to both Tammy and Jeff for all they have done on the FE lists and other links. :yay:

(Tammy didn't get her FE gifts completed as she thought she would. I will deliver the kids gifts she is sending to my hotel, but please don't feel like you must include their family. I will forward anything that comes, though, if you should want to.)

Ahem, I will take up the space needed in the suitcase. I need to look dapper. I already told DW that I will have two main types if footwear. Flip flops and slippers.

Jeff, I like your thinking that husband's get 25% of the space! But if we have to, we will bring another suitcase...it will just have to be carry on size since we are flying back from Miami.

Can I bring this? Do I just slap a tag on it, and it will appear in our room? We are far, far, far from the beverage station, which is probably good as I should not be drinking THAT much soda, so I thought we could bring water.

Yes you can bring bottle water...I always take a case. You are not suppose to put any liquids in your checked luggage so I don't know if they would take the water if it was just loose. My friends have put it in checked luggage and there was no problem. I usually put it in an empty rollaboard with our wine and carry it onboard.

Same here! FE are packed and labeled and they take up 1 1/2 suitcases! They are heavy too! So glad we live close to port!

Good, only 2 pairs of shoes won't take up too much space...more room for me:thumbsup2 But if you show up to dinner in slippers, I don't know you:rolleyes1

So sorry for your hard week! It is always hard saying goodbye to someone who was always there to listen and never talk back! Next Sunday will be here before you know it. Hope you all get to feeling better and a little rest!

Me too! Just finish labeling and packing fe. Thankfully, only 1/2 a suitcase taken for them. DH can wear shoes:)

Wow, and I thought my FE took up too much room. Nice to be able to drive, though. I can only imagine what these FE gifts are...very exciting. It was the kids gifts that took up so much space in my suitcase (but don't worry all of you with kids, they are easy to pack!)

4everluvDisney;468066 I will be sewing all day and will PM everyone tonight... Jeff....LOL...sorry you havent been on any of our cruises in the past! I love sewing them and have given some away on every cruise we've been on. That being said..so not a pro here. LOL The only thing I ask is that you not sell them said:
Elderfam--hate to bother you but I never got pm from you. Just need to know if I pack my stocking or a dowel?;)

Well, like so many others, as our cruise date approaches, things change. I will not be bringing our dd11 on this trip. All is well with her but school wise, it is not good timing. I've been stressing over the situation for a few weeks now and am glad to be moving forward.

Can someone PM me with the birthdays that will happen while we are onboard? I have cards we want to write out. Do those go in the FE's?

Thanks!

It just occurred to me as I was doing a little packing that one of the cards was for Linda's (adnil530) daughter who is now not going on the trip.

Soooooo.....do we still bring the cards and Mom can take them home to her? Or, would that be a horrible reminder that she wasn't on the cruise for her birthday? :headache: Linda?
