EBPC December 9, 2012!!! PART 2

I asked my pharmacist about motion sickness pill - Stugeron. He had never heard of it. He asked me about the active ingredient. Of course, I had not done that research. He said - ginger and green apples are the best.

Both DH and DS have birthdays on Dec 4, so we will be celebrating the first night for them. DS is finally getting old enough that he knows the date in addition to the month, and was able to tell me last night that his Daddy had the same birthday as him and that he thought that was cool. 43 and 5yo respectively.

Good Morning Fellow Cruisers,
We set sail in 2 weeks, that is 14 sleeps!
Are you ready yet?
:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

I AM NOT READY. Seriously, I leave on Thursday and have done... Nada. Oops.

My birthday is December 7, so I know I am getting embarrassed on night one!

DH and I are celebrating our 37th anniversary since in Oct when it actually was I was recuperating at my son's and DH was sailing down the coast. He will fly from Cabo next week to join me and then we will fly to LA. I am sooo excited.

Also this summer I turned 62. I collected my first social security check in Oct (it takes two months after your birthday to get that first one). I am proud of my age as I have earned every white hair I have!

My DH and I are celebrating our 13th Anniversary on December 10th. I have booked Palo brunch for that day, yummy!! We enjoy it more than the dinner there.

DH is turning the big 5-0 next year, and we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary this year. And DH got a promotion at work - these are all the things we're celebrating on this cruise! :)party:

Busy Saturday, but lots accomplished! I finally booked a rental car in LA (after researching every possible means of transp.), changed our second hotel (first two nights will be in Anaheim, but the third will be in LAX area), confirmed and printed out docs for all excursions, finished Chr. cards, packed meds (and cleaned out a bathroom closet in the process, because one task always leads to another ;)), and handled some important MIL issues (tax and medically related stuff). Also started sorting other things on the packing list...oh, my, not sure how it will all fit :confused3. Then went out to dinner and picked up groceries.

I really hadn't thought much about clothes, but I'm starting to realize I might need a few things. Hmmm, guess I'll have to go shopping! ::yes::::yes::::yes:::thumbsup2

Today is our usual Sunday visiting the MIL, but tonight I'll try finish the FE gifts (and add a few for the late-comers) and door decs.

DNiece, Anna (PinkPug) is celebrating her 28th bd on 12/2, so we'll be marking the occasion a bit late, but we'll definitely be celebrating!

***If anyone is looking for something to do in Long Beach with their kids, there is a Living Social offer for CHILL at the Queen Mary, which looks like a lot of fun if you're into ICE! (google it or check out the offer for details)

So excited we'll be boarding in two weeks!!! Off to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach today. We'll also visit the Wonder, as she's at the Port of LA today. DH has never seen her, so I think it will make it a little more real.

Thanks Liz. We are planning on bringing some stuff anyway. It is Christmas time you know. Our cabin number is 7598 and I have two girls ages 12 and 4. Our last cruise was not as enjoyable because our 12 year old didn't have her cousins around to pillage and plunder the ship with. We were hoping to meet some people with children her age and hopefully the cruise will be more enjoyable for her. Our 4 year old has never met a stranger and readily picks up on the activities. Must be something about being 4 and having no fears. This is our 6th cruise and we always mean to get in on the fun, but, our days are so filled up. We vowed that this cruise would be different. Thanks again and we look forward to the festivities.

John - I will add you to the list - is it just you and the 2 girls? Can you email me their names as well and the names of any other adults in your cabin. Once I get your email, I will email you the link to the online spreadsheet.

I have an early December birthday so I will be celebrating a bit on board. One of the CM's talked me into it :rotfl2: Seriously, I was making a server request and she said ooooh I see you have a birthday just before the cruise so you will be celebrating on board right? Me, why not? Looks like a lot of us are celebrating something :goodvibes

I just wanted to wish you all Bon Voyage! I will be on the WBPC next May. Please post trip reports and let us know about any excursions you do. Thank you and happy celebrations to everyone, too! :cool1:

Our biggest thing we are celebrating on this cruise will be DH's victory over cancer for the 2nd time. It's been a year with many ups and downs but couldn't be ending on a better note than the doctor's "All Clear!" we got just this week. :goodvibes

That is awesome -- congratulations on the WONDERful news:thumbsup2!

It was the big 5-0 for me this year and this cruise is part of my celebrations. In our family big birthdays entitle you to a year of celebration!party:

It is also my 50th birthday cruise (although it is not technically until a few days after Christmas) - this trip is my birthday present. It is also in celebration of our 21st anniversary 2 months ago, since we barely saw each other that day. Lastly, it is our delayed honeymoon. Since we never took a honeymoon due to being in school and having class to attend, we can always use that as an excuse to take a fancy trip. And truly, this will be our first trip without our 3 kids. So I am calling it a honeymoon! A DCL cruise is excellent for celebrating anything!

What wonderful news! The best possible. We are all so fortunate to be going on this cruise with our loved ones.

I just finished my FE's! They sort of expanded when I packed the baggies - I will have to compress them somehow to fly across the country, so sorry in advance for any squashed gifts!

We will be sure to include room 7598. It is so much fun to make the deliveries and see the decorated doors.

I imagine many of us with guaranteed rooms will get our room assignments this week. Does anyone remember where we send that info? Or do we edit the google FE document? :confused3

Tammy is still updating the list. I would say post your room assignment here in the thread or send her a PM. Last minute updates will be handled by Shirley (ChipperMerlin) at the Embarkation Meet in Promenade Lounge.
