EBPC December 9, 2012!!! PART 2

DH and I just had our 24th anniversary last week. Also December 24th is DH's birthday but he stopped celebrating that a few years ago!

Our biggest thing we are celebrating on this cruise will be DH's victory over cancer for the 2nd time. It's been a year with many ups and downs but couldn't be ending on a better note than the doctor's "All Clear!" we got just this week. :goodvibes

AWESOME! What a WONDERful way to celebrate. I too am celebrating, although it is nothing like yours. I have lost 121 pounds since June of this year. I finally saw a pic of myself on last years MR Christmas cruise and was stunned by it. Hadn't really looked at myself in the mirror for years. What a difference. Can't wait for our usual waiter to see me. Don't think he will recognize me. This year I am limiting myself to one entree and no ice cream or sweets. I'm going to miss the all you can eat lobster night.

Tammy is still updating the list. I would say post your room assignment here in the thread or send her a PM. Last minute updates will be handled by Shirley (ChipperMerlin) at the Embarkation Meet in Promenade Lounge.

Took a look at your blog and would love to talk with you about the Med. Look forward to meeting you on the ship. Great website by the way.

I'll be celebrating my b'day on Dec 10th - I plan to spend some of the day in the spa. It's our 5th Disney cruise and I've never stepped foot in the spa, so figure this is a excuse to try it out!

Unfortunately, on our second Med cruise in 2010 I had trouble updating our blog using the cruise ship internet. The blogspot server was banned by their service so I ended up having to update through a proxy server and it just turned into a nightmare so I never finished the blog. :confused3 :rolleyes2 Those blogs are fun to go back and revisit. I'll try to do one this year since we have so much time on the ship. Thanks for the kind comments on the web site. I've done quite a few for different things. It's really easy and best of all - it's FREE. :cool1:

Just book SAS Transportation from the Miami Port to FLL since Disney says that are not providing that service.

Added the following to the Name Tag list on the web site.

Stitch70 (4)
tweetybabee (3)
Blue Water Fisherman (2)
tessa67 (3)
NancyBowen (3)
Pirate John (4)
DisneyRick (4)
Pbewley (2)

Also, added date/time for the stateroom crawl. The ornament exchange is the next day at 2 pm.

Where: Meet on Deck 3, Lobby Atrium Near Guest Services
When: December 14th, 2 pm

Congrats on your weight loss! How inspiring. :yay: Keep up the good work! DH and I plan to exercise each morning to try to counteract the flood of food. A constant battle...

I will have to look up your town on a map. We just sent our oldest DS to college in Tuscaloosa, AL. I had not been to Alabama before last year, but really enjoyed our trip there!
Liz

We just got home from seeing the national tour of Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Great production and now I'm really in the Disney mood!

So I've just checked the DCL site for the 10th time today and it's saying I am not able to modify my reservation at the moment...wonder if they're updating with GTY room assignments? :scratchin :hyper:

We can hope and keep checking. I had no problem getting into the reservations at around 6am PST, so definitely a change.

I can't believe we are finally so close! We are celebrating my twins turning 12 on Dec 5th. My husband's birthday is Tuesday but he doesn't get to celebrate anymore!

It has been a super busy weekend. The girls have to turn in their Rube Goldberg machines before we leave so that's what we have been doing all weekend. I think I've made a dozen trips to the store!

Woo hoo!!! That is an INCREDIBLE accomplishment that you should celebrate just as proudly. Yours was just as life saving of a journey as my DH's was. :cool1:

It was a crazy busy week for me but I made it through Worked out of our PIT office on Tuesday and Wednesday. Spent Thanksgiving with the in-laws and DH's extended Family in PIT on Thursday, they still hate me but I survived! Went shopping with the boss all day friday (bought even more dresses at White House Black Market) then watched WVU finally win a game. We left early Saturday morning to head to Central PA for a baby shower I was throwing then had Lategiving with my Mom on Saturday night. Since my sister and kids were in Philly, DH and I went and packed the kids this morning. We were able to pack both of them in one suitcase(with 5 lbs so spare)and we will bring it with us on Southwest so my sister only has to pay for one checked bag (hers) My nephew has grown so all of his size 8 dress shirts are way to small but he is going to have to suck it up (or in!) on the cruise for one last wearing. He did have a size 12 suit (along with a size 8 &10 suit in his closet). We met up with the kids in Philly on our way home and made my niece try on her formal dress (her flower girl dress from my wedding a year ago) and I was amazed it still fit, though it is much shorter! We exchanged some early Christmas presents that I wanted to pack but wanted the kids to unwrap(autograph books, shirts, water bottles, cups, coupon books, notebook, journals and folder) then their activity books and pencils cases for them to pack on the cruise. They loved their stuff! and I was thrilled when Luke double checked to make sure I packed his Goofy and Donald hats and all his Disney shirts and pins. I am always afraid he isn't going to want them anymore because they aren't cool. The kids wanted to work on their activity books right away and were disappointed they were for the plane only. They gave DH his gift early because, according to Luke "Mommy knew he would want it for the cruise but it weights as much as like 2 or 3 pairs of shoes so Mommy rather make Uncle Michael put it in his suitcase so Mommy can pack her shoes" We will need to start packing us this week but I am glad the kids are done! I worked on the FE gifts on Thanksgiving, I still have a ton left to do, I feel like I am going to have a few late nights coming up! I can't believe we only have one weekend left between now and when we fly to LA. It became real when I said goodbye to the kids and Luke said to me, " Next time I see you, it will be in LA." So excited!

I spoke to my co-worker about if US dollars would be accepted or if we would need local currency for Colombia. She was unsure as she always uses local currency but said she thought US dollars would be accepted. She is going to contact her friend who lives in Caragenta and find out for us. I will post more when I know more.

Congrats to you both....amazing! :cool1::cool1::cool1:
And John, we'll add you to our FE gift list; no problem.

Oh, honey, I hope you punched some air holes, so they can breathe!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Yep, totally juvenile, but I couldn't resist :lmao:.

Thanks for asking her; any info is appreciated ::yes::

GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

YEAH, Relaxin'! My to do list is getting shorter and shorter like Jose's siestas (Tiki Room)

Who is celebrating birthdays and anniversarys on this cruise? Could you post please?

Whatever YOU're doing today - Make it a good one!

We'll be celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary on Dec. 13. We met at Epcot, got engaged in the Magic Kingdom, got married at Disney's Wedding Pavilion, had the reception at the Polynesian luau and honeymooned at Port Orleans French Quarter. So, we figured it's about time we celebrate an anniversary with our first Disney cruise.

We are celebrating my DS's 4th birthday. It's on Dec 2nd, but told him that will be his party. Hope he doesn't expect a party like this every year. :)
