Ebay - Someone Stole My Auction

I just finished up a seven day dutch auction on Ebay. I have more of the item and I wanted to list again. Someone else has already used my EXACT picture and description, which I developed myself, to list their items. Is this allowed?

Im not sure but that seems upsetting, I'd go online to ebay and go to "help" and start live chat w/ an ebay employee, they could tell you, they may ask for the auction #s so they can pull them up, they have the authority to cancel the other persons auction if its not allowed, good luck, hope ebay or someone here has the answer :goodvibes

Someone did this to me, and I emailed them with the ask seller a question and said that they had very nice auction, looked just like mine, same picture and everything. That I would appreciate it if they would change it, and they did and apologized.

Is this person new at it? Perhaps they did not know they couldn't do it. If they have just started selling (low feedback and start date) you could just send an email. If not, definately contact ebay.

Someone reported me for using their photo and my auction was cancelled by Ebay. It was MY photo with my microwave in the back!!! I was upset to say the least.

wow, all this is good for me to know. i never look to see if someone copied my stuff but now i will be looking for sure!

Someone copied mine but the information was wrong for what she was selling! :confused3
I mailed her and asked if she knew she had written an incorrect description and she added an amendment at the bottom

This person has over 100 feedback and has been selling since 2002. I know it is my picture and the description is EXACTLY like mine (same words, font sizing, font color, and spacing)

I would definately report that. They knew what they were dong when they did it and are probably too lazy to write a description and take the picture themselves. Even if they are a new ebayer, this is plagerism.

Definitely report it to e-bay.

I had someone do that to me as well, except I was a bit worried for any bidders since they had 0 feedback and I thought it was quite a coincidence that they would have very hard to get bowl game tickets in the same section AND row as I did.
It took a couple of days, but E-bay pulled their auction.

you need to report this seller and from now on you need to add your id name
across your photos, like a copy right.

ceecee i would had taken several photos of my micro and emailed them to ebay and showing them that those pics indeed were your original pics.

and have let ebay put your auction back up with your original pics & had the other seller investigated.

Is there an easy way to do this - I'm fairly computer literate, but last time I read directions for doing this, I got confused.

How do you put your name accross your photos so nobody takes them and puts them in their auctions. I would love to know how to do that but do not even know where to begin.

Thanks for any help you can give me.
