ebay ship to resort?

I'm a real ebay newbie.

Can I purchase something via paypal/ebay & have it shipped to our Florida Resort instead of our home Canadian address (& therefore, our billing address)?

Or is this something I may not want to even try to do because it protects us somehow to only have shipping to our home/billing address?

I know shipping costs to canada are way more than to the us, so if you know when you will be there and how long it takes USPS to deliver from whatever state to orlando, then ask the seller to ship it to the address. Ask that they mark the package with your name and when you will be hotel guest (dates) with name of hotel and address information. As I see it, you just need to check with hotel if they would accept the package for you.

Some people may be weary of doing this, but I see no real problem, as many people mail supplies for breakfast/diapers etc to the hotel before going.

Check with hotel (tell them you want to ship stuff you need for trip) and see if seller ok with it, I know you can save a lot in shipping.

Just make sure dates correspond!

As an EBay seller I would not do this. I'm protected with delivery confirmation when I mail the package to your verified PayPal address. If I sent the package to a hotel in FL then the buyer later filed a complaint I would have to show proof I sent it to them. Shipping it to a resort could cause me to have to refund the cost of the auction to the buyer.

Remember, eBay is thousands of different sellers - each with their own shipping policies. What you need to do is send an email to the seller (there's a button to click on the listing that does it automatically) and ask the seller if they would be willing to ship to a Disney address rather than your home address. Either they will say yes, say no, or ignore you. Obviously, you only bid if they say yes.

Thank you for pointing out that the trust issue goes both ways with e-bay. See, told you I was a newbie. Hadn't thought of that. Contacted the on-line ebay "store" & it's all OK.

We're not getting nasty international shipping charges, time delay, duty, and brokerage fees now. AND we have a surprise waiting for the kids at check-in. Nice way to start our Disney vacation.
