I have been buying on ebay for years, but have never sold anything. How do I know if I am set up for selling? I may have registered for it, but not sure. Also, if I want my first auction to begin tonight, about 6 or 7 pm, when should I start to type in the info onto ebay? This will be my first time, so I'm not sure how long it will take me to get everything answered and set up. Thanks!

My husband and I have been members of ebay for about a year and have both sold and bought. Since we signed up first to sell, I am not certain of how to answer your question. But I do believe that once you register you are able to do both. You can always contact ebay through e-mail or speak directly with a ebay representative through Live Help. You should know when you go into my ebay and click sell; if it brings up a screen of three options (auction, but it now and something else I can not recall) and if you click on one of those and it brings you to the next screen, you should be all set.
As for when to post, it all depends on how fast you type, how long of an item description it is, how quick your computer is. . .but you should start around maybe 6:15 or so and finish it up around 6:30 pm. We also type an item description in our Windows program and later copy and paste it for our sell item. Hope that info helps and good luck!!

Make sure you have your photos ready etc and sized down (?under 100mb?) so they will upload quickly etc. You don't want to spend 20 minutes doodling with a photo when you want to get the auction going.

I posted my first sale on Ebay! It took bit longer than expected, and I have no picture and no bids to speak of yet (but its for leftover vouchers, so I don't think the lack of a picture will be too bad). Maybe if I do ok with this sale I can convince myself to sell the baby clothes DD1 never got a chance to wear...hmmm.\
Thanks so much for your help!

the vouchers seem to sell very well on ebay.I have been watching a few and they always get bids.I sell on ebay as well and have been on there 3 years now.Dont get discouraged if they dont get a bid.I dont bid on an item until the last 30 seconds of it ending;) !I learned this the hard way after being outbid so many times i have it down now.I also get people who dont bid on my items till the last hour or sometimes the last minute of it ending.I am selling now to save for our Nov.trip.I also do fleamarketing in the spring and summer and we are soooo excited this year because this is our first trip to Disney so we will be that much more excited about selling.Good luck on ebay and have fun with it!

If you have Q & C vouchers to sell on EBAY...is it best to set a reserve price or set a starting bid that is close to what you want?? I have seen several of them go for A LOT more than what they should have gone for..and, then some that didnt make their original purchasing price. What is the best way to go to make sure you dont "lose" any money???

I normally do not do reserve auctions- either buying or selling.

Especially with something like these vouchers- I would put them up with the minimum I would want to get for them, 11.50 or whatever they were

Some people dont like to do this because you spend more on your auction listing- however to me, it's much better than knowing I just paid 11.50 and only getting 5.00 for it.

You could list them at 9.99 since thats the same price as .01...

Also I agree- dont worry about no bids now, I just had 8 auctions end tonight, and when I checked this afternoon compared to what they just sold at- it was WAY more!

If your going to sell clothing- make sure you put pictures up...thats another thing I wont bid on without a picture.

Just a heads up, .01 auctions are .30 to list now now and auctions over .99 are .35.
