I had an email from ebay yesterday telling me that they had tried to take my direct debit and that it had been refused by my bank, that doesn't surprise me too much as I have only just got a new overdraft facility setup and I think it takes a few days to get up and running. Anyway I digress!... I made a one time payment theough the ebay.co.uk website, I didn't click on any links from an email or anything like that so I know it's not a spoof email, but I haven't received any kind of email confirming payment from ebay.

Does this usually happen? I am just worried cos my payment staus still says that I owe £17.35 even though I have paid and I don't want them to take the payment twice.

I have emailed them a question but I just got an automated response showing me links to the help pages, this is no use to me! Ebay are harder to contact than the queen!!!!

What do ya reckon??

I would leave it a while and see what happens. Monitor the account where you made the payment from and see if it shows up there.

I would avoid paying again as you can can be sure if you owe them money they will continue to chase you for it. If they owe you the money then they will probably remain difficult to contact and you'll end up waiting ages to get it back

Have you tried the Liveworld link? You actuall speak to someone from ebay on line
failing that there is actually an ebay phone number very few people know about type ebay phone number in google
But i didnt tell you that!!
Ebay are crap all they do is send you automated replies 5 days after an enquirey
Also you couild try the ebay community question and answer board
Good Luck
