Ebay pin trading

I consider myself a very cautious buyer. I used to only buy from one seller, but he has been out of commission for months, and I needed pins to use for my up coming trip. I ordered 50 pins- not a grabbag-which listed the pins as official disney pins. They arrived today, and I am 98% happy with them, except 2 are obvious fakes. I have emailed the seller (who has 99.8%approval rating)and asked that she replace them...I think that's fair...what about shipping issues(I'll pay to send these back-if she mails the replacements for free-is that good?)

I sell pins on ebay (Feedback 3800+ 100% positive) and I recently purchased a lot of pins to resell and in the lot were 8 obvious fakes. I wrote to the seller who told me that he cant possibly check all the pins he sends out in large lots and not to worry about trading them. I wrote and tried to explain to him that I am not worried about trading them, but I certainly wont sell my buyers something that is a fake. These were character pins with a backstamp of "The Disney Store" when I know they do not come from Japan and Pinpics also states them to be bootlegs.

It is reasonable to ask for the pins to be replaced. If this happened to us we would send you new pins to replace the fake ones and not charge you anything. But thats how we keep our 100% rating... most sellers dont care too much sometimes.

We have traded over 1000 pins in WDW from pins purchased on Ebay. From time to time we notice a pin that looks "odd" or "funny" and is definately questionable. Unless your selling the pins I would not worry too much about them. If you are just trading them then you should be fine.

Some people actually collect fake disney pins so you might find a pin trader who actually wants your questionable pin.
