Ebay invoicing question

ive never sold on eBay but listed (and sold!) an item this week - building $ funds $ toward next family WDW trip (taking DearDad60 for his first ever visit!); anyhow, does eBay automatically invoice seller or do I need to go into my paypal & generate an invoice?

You don't need to go into PayPal to generate the invoice to the seller. You do it via your sold items in eBay. In My eBay you will see: selling, sold, active type headers. Go into sold and it'll show you when it sold, who to, how much for etc At the very end they'll be a drop down box with a bunch of actions (relist, mark as shipped etc) and you will see one that is for invoicing the buyer (I can't remember the exact terminology but it's obvious). That then generates an invoice. Having said that, the buyer automatically gets one when they win the items, something along the lines of "you've won XXXXXXX click here to pay for this item" etc but unless I get payment instantly (some people have their eBay set up to automatically pay for won items via PayPal) I usually send the invoice via the above method anyway as I like to know they've definitely got it and can't argue that I never billed them. Hope that makes sense.
