Ebay invoice? Help please

Hi:

I am hoping one of the fabulous Disers who is more familiar with ebay could help me out.

I recieved an email from Ebay this morning saying that the email was my invoice for the month of July and that i owed them $5. The thing that is strange about this is that I ahve not purchaed anything on ebay since April and have not sold anything since Jan 2007.

Anyone have any advice on how to get to the bottom of this? I did go straight to my ebay account to see what is was but all it says is:

Latest invoice amount (Jul-31-09): US $5.00
Credits, payments and refunds applied to latest invoice: US $0.00
Credits
US $0.00
Payments
US $0.00
Refunds
US $0.00


Amount due as of Aug-04-09: US $5.00


New activity not applied to invoice: US $0.00
Current Balance: US $5.00

I would contact eBay for an explanation. Do not just "reply" to the email, because it may be phishing for your bank information.

That is odd - I got mine today too but I did sell last month so I do owe.

If you log into your eBay account, you can see your invoices and whatever amount is due...and a break down of where it came from. Go in through that route and see what it says

Okay. I did this and it says ID verify. So, are they charging me now since they had to berify my ID earlier this month?

I did email them about this and will see what they say but it's quite annoying.

Did you log in from the invoice email link, or from a new window? If you used the link get back in there RIGHT AWAY from a new window and change your password!

ID verify does have a fee.

BTW - id verify is not required by ebay.

Hmm..okay. it is legit. I went on to view the invoice on ebay itself. i never click throgh a link in an email. even if it's pics from a family member!

There was some suspicious activity on my account about 4-5 weeks back (things i did not bid on were showing up in my bid list) and i had to go in and change my password as it was changed without my changing it and maybe through that process i accidently had my id verified as i wanted extra protection.
