I had an auction end on the 10th and my TOS state payment is to be received within 7 days. Well on the 7th day I had a buyer say they were sending a money order on the 18th. I haven't received it and was about to send an email today when I saw her newest feedback. She has had four negs in the past two days all for non-payment. She is a new bidder with a total of 10 feedbacks, 5 of which are now negs. What should I do? Do I send her an email or just start the NPB process? How do I start the NPB process? Is there something on my ebay page? And why the heck do I feel like I should send her a nice email asking where the money is first?! I already feel like I have given her more than enough time to send the payment and now I just want this resolved. The only problem with emailing her about it is that wouldn't she just say she already sent the money order and just draw the whole thing out. I would have to wait even longer to see if she was going to pay KWIM? I hate this! I don't want to get a negative out of this so I have no problems with not leaving her feedback! How many negs does she have to get before she is a NARU? Thanks for any advice and help on this!!

Yes, do the npb. She's a dead beat. I feel your pain. I've been there several times in the past 2 months. Sending hugs your way.

Have you looked at what she is leaving..is she leaving negs? The only problem with leaving a neg for this person, is she can just start over again, since her feedback stinks anyway. You are stuck with what you get. I know some will say you "owe" it to other people to give her a neg, but if she is a buyer and not a seller, no one would even look at her feedback, unless she doesn't pay them. In this instance I would file the non paying buyer, and follow up to get your end of listing fees back, and let it go at that.

She can actually get a lot more negs, before eBay suspends her. She has to have (if I'm remembering right) a minus 4 to be booted. However, if just three people report her for non payment, she should show up suspended. I think that is more important than feedback. If you are the 3rd one to report her she'll become naru'd and won't be able to leave feedback (once you file the end report).

You would start the process by going to MyEbay, under All selling, click on sold items and looking way down the left hand side of the page, where it says related links, click on report an unpaid item.

If she's just received 5 negs, chances are others have NARUed her already & she is in the process of being suspended. Once that happens, she will not be able to leave you any feedback. Wait til that happens before leaving negative feedback, if you plan to.

Of course, don't expect payment from somebody who is suspended. Relist tomorrow. It will be that much sooner for the new auction to end & for you to get some money.

NPB's happen. We've done the negative feedback that boots a person off, (the 4th negative), and its fine.

They couldn't leave negative feedback, and all is well.

Don't feel guilted out. You didn't do anything wrong.

I would email her and ask her for the (supposed) money order tracking number. Tell her you haven't received it yet and your afraid it is lost. If she can't (or won't) provide it, then she is most likely lying and never sent it. Then you can start the process.

You can't leave feedback to someone who is naru'd. And you don't know, when you leave that feedback, if she is about to get naru'd, because sometimes people give the negs, and don't file a npb report. I would not leave a feedback at this time, unless you are prepared to get one back. Also she doesn't have to have 4 negs to get booted, she has to have a minus four, and then someone has to report it. She needs 3 npb reports to get naru'd.

I hope the OP doesnt mind me tagging on a question of my own, DMRick is a major ebayer so I'm hoping she is around to answer or any other ebayer too. I just started a NPB process 2 days ago for something that someone bought back on 1/14/05 as a buy it now, my TOS says paypal only w/in 7 days. I wasnt sure if with a BIN I should wait 7 days since the person bought it before my auction was even over. anyway, they havent bothered to pay yet even after 3 invoices (1 original & 2 reminders) on my 3rd invoice, I stated I was going to relist, & file NPB & give negative feedback if payment wasnt received, I got an email from the person giving a song & dance that I dont believe, wallet got stolen & they need to buy a prepaid debit card so they can pay me, well, 4 days later & they still havent bothered to pay - when can I relist my item? do I have to wait an extra 7 days for ebay to let me know that the winning person hasnt bothered to respond to non pay stuff from ebay or can I relist right away? I want the money from this item ASAP & I am pretty sure it will sell when I relist & I want to sell it while the weather is still cold. Can I relist right away? if I relist & the person that did the BIN decides to pay, then what? or does relisting take away the option of the winner being able to pay? please help! :confused3

If you don't wait until the end of the process, you won't get back the listing fee if it sells the second time listed. You can relist at any time, but then you should fill out the part of the npb form that says you mutually agreed to end the sale...otherwise the bidder still owes you money, but can't get an item in return. However, that can come back to bite you.
from ebay:
Mutual agreement indication - while filing the Unpaid Item dispute, if the seller indicates that a mutual agreement has been reached with the buyer not to complete the transaction, eBay will ask the buyer for confirmation through an email and pop-up message.
If the buyer confirms the seller's statement about mutual agreement not to complete the transaction, the buyer will not receive an Unpaid Item strike and the seller will receive a Final Value Fee credit.
If the buyer disagrees with the seller's statement on mutual agreement, the buyer will not receive an Unpaid Item strike and the seller will not receive a Final Value Fee credit. The dispute will be closed immediately after the buyer responds and the seller will not be eligible to re-file an Unpaid Item dispute for that transaction.
If the buyer does not respond to the email or pop-up message within 7 days then the seller will be able to close the dispute. The seller will receive a Final Value Fee credit and the buyer will receive a strike.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I am going to wait to see if the mo is in the mail today if not I will be filing NPB tonight. Hopefully all the other sellers filed so she will be booted off ebay. I won't be leaving any feedback since I do not want any spiteful negs back. Ebay really needs to fix it to where people who don't pay can not leave feedback!! I am in no rush to relist since I would rather relist the item in March when it would do better (I posted this ? on my ebay board too and have been getting emails interested in it LOL). I appreciate your help, it relieves alot of stress.

thank you so much for your reply, for some reason reading it here was simpler than reading it there on ebay. I'm just maybe alittle goofy :rolleyes1 . I'll wait the 7 days because I'm guessing the buyer wont bother to respond & I do want at least some of my fees credited since it was a $65 item, not alot of money to some, but to me it is as I'm hardly selling stuff right now, in fact that was my 1st & only item I've tried to sell in the past coupla months!
