He says it's deeded. I might bid just to see what will happen.

dis-happy said:This person's lack of professionalism is starting to make me mad. First off, he states that he sells these for charity, but if he's doing this as a business (sounds like it from his description) he is still making money off the deal---it's not all for charity.
Second, "we do our best to get accurate info from the resorts". Uh, I'd say NO effort was made to get any information from Disney.
Sounds like (although you won't get a definite answer from this guy) that there are no points for this year until Sept. 2007. Again, people who don't know any better may think they are going into Jan. ("this year") with 216 points in hand. With the complexities of banking and borrowing this could mess up a buyer.
Finally, no mention that VB points can be used at 7 different locations including WDW. Seller is missing a big chance to market to the DVC uninformed at a higher price.
Original owners/estate would have been much better off joining with Tom in order to get this sold and donated to charity.

Still seems fishy to me but I don't see that there is anyway that it is going to make it through ROFR anyway so I don't figure there will be any harm that comes of it. The current bid is only like $28 per point, if Disney let that go through there would be hell to pay to those of us that have missed out on contracts at $70 per point due to ROFR...

Nice thought, but I'll bet it doesn't fly. Disney's ROFR wouldn't harm the charity. The charity would get the money either way - from a buyer or from Disney through ROFR.phorsenuf said:Yes but he said that because it was for chairty he thought disney may not interfere.![]()
I don't really follow this stuff much. Anyone know of a way to followup on the transfer of this contract?DisDaydreamer said:This is a juicy story unfolding... but we're not going to get to see how it ends.I don't really follow this stuff much. Be careful what you ask for!greenban said:Well...............
I thought I was done with points until AKL or CRV, but at 28 a point this is too good to passup.
I'm gonna go and bid $35.00 a point, lets see if I 'win'. If I do I can post the transfer details here.....<grin>
