I listed an multiple items in one listing. I clearly state in bold/Red that there are issues with the boxes and I will not provide refunds due to the state of the boxes and if that might be an issue then request pictures prior to purchase.

Someone just purchased all the boxes and at the same time asked me if there were any discolorations on the boxes.

I responded that it was clear in my listing that there was and I copied and pasted my text.

He has just requested a full refund. What should I do? I have 100% rating. Do I refund and not make a big deal or do I hold my ground because the issues were clearly stated in my listing?

I would just send a mutual cancellation request to the buyer. After I gave him a total refund.

You can't make them pay. :( And unfortunately, buyers hold all the shots when it comes to ebay. If you don't do as they want, chances are you will get a negative. At least the mutual cancellation will allow you both to be free of each other.

Ebay is a joke now. Not even remotely how it was in the past. Full of big box stores and buyers who rule the roost.

In your listing, were you clear as to just what the problems with the boxes were? Maybe the buyer thought the boxes were crushed, not discolored.

Also, why didn't you just put pictures of the boxes on the listing to help avoid this? I don't see the sense of asking people to contact you to see pictures - just put them on the listing in the first place.

They have already paid for the purchase. I figured they held all the cards even if I stated it in the listing.

Because there are 8 boxes and I didn't want to pay to show each box. I stated exactly the problem that a few layers of the outside of the boxes are missing, but it's in different places and different amounts on each box.

Does anybody know if I can resist without paying another insertion fee? I can't seem to figure out how.

Unless something has changed, you have to wait until the transaction is fully cancelled, and then once you relist it it should waive the fees. I am speaking from experience, but it has been a while since I have had to pay for a listing so I may be wrong.

Sorry I don't know. I have a store so I get a certain amount of listings per month 'free' so I don't deal with that.

For relisting I would list them one at a time and INCLUDE pictures. I don't know if you pay attention, but ebay now has their dashboard and cancelling transactions (even if the buyer requests it) are defects. If the defects cause you to fall below standard (more than 5%) you will most likely lose your selling ability on ebay.

File to cancel the transaction and then refund AFTER the buyer agrees. You will then be able to relist with no final value fees.

You can include 12 pictures for free. I would definitely include pictures. In fact I would never purchase anything from ebay if there weren't any pictures of the item.
