I used to be the same way! But I guess I ok'd something that shows when a website can be used with ebates because I get a little ebates popup now and it's a good reminder.
I do the same thing with my AP. Not sure if it works this way at WDW, but at DLR my AP gives me 15% off most food and 20% off merchandise. I remember the merchandise but I often forget to ask for the discount on food
There is a toolbar for Ebates you can install that will "remind" you to use it when you visit the site of a merchant that qualifies. Or maybe you still have to click a button on the toolbar add-on to "check for Ebates" or something, I don't know exactly. You should look it up. I haven't used it.
I introduced my parents to Ebates last year and they used to forget to go through the portal so they put a post-it note on the monitor that said, "Use Ebates!!!". LOL They would still forget occasionally even with the note, but lately they've been very good about it.
I never forget...I LOVE seeing how much money I can save! Between discount codes, Ebates, and now Discover Deals (we just got the DiscoverIt credit card for all of our purchases to pay off each month) I'm saving a ton.
Here's Hoping the next time you order something you will remember. Lots of great deals to be had on ebates especially this week with double cash back at a lot of stores. I scored $50 back on my freezer purchase from Ebates and found a $50 off Sears code posted on ebates. $100 back in my pocket.
The Chrome extension is the only reason I ever remember to use it. But I do remember now, because I get a little pop-up banner at the top of my browser window whenever I'm at a site that participates.
