Ebates 20% back for Orbitz tickets

It was answered earlier. Apparently EBates only applies the 20% to a single line item. A previous poster had success getting applied to the entire order through email. Hope you do too!

Can you link me tot he poster who was able to get the full 20%?
 
I have a question that I don't think has been asked yet----

Once I link the magic number to my room only reservation and assign tickets to each person in my travel party are they now "owned" by the person I'm assigning them to even if they haven't been used?

If we cancel the trip and rebook can I re-assign them to someone other than who they were previously assigned to?

Thoughts....?


On MDE it says Nontransferable. But if you click the ! next to it is says only the owner of the ticket can transfer it but there is no instructions on how to do it. You may be able to call Disney and ask them to undo it for you.

I feel exactly the same way. My ebates rebate showed up today. Still waiting on my magic code I ordered Sunday AM.

Is the 10% always offered? Has anyone ever seen the 20% before this time?
Wondering if it will be back. I have friends that dragged their feet waiting to see how it worked out for me and will probably regret not jumping on it.
 
my 20% showed up in my account today too! Woo Hoo!!! Now to get the My Magic Code so my DH can stop being skeptical!!!! And ebates has done the 20% before, so there's a chance they will do it again.
 
I have been so happy with both Orbitz and Ebates during this transaction. I bought 7 Universal 3 day park to park and 7 WDW 4 day base tickets and already have a rebate of $650 in my account. I contacted Orbitz for my Magic Code, received a very friendly email from a representative with my code within 48 hours of requesting it. I went to mydisneyexperience and linked my tickets with no problems. I'm still pinching myself over what a great deal this had been! :goodvibes

Tell your friends the 10% is still a "good" deal, since Orbitz hasn't raised their prices yet.
 
Today is day 7 for me without seeing my rebate pending or a check mark beside my shopping trip. I sent an email to Ebates over the weekend and got the wait 7 days email.

My question - now that I'm at 7 days with nothing, do I need to contact Ebates again or will they check it automatically for me? Their email seemed to indicate that they would look into at 7 days, but I'm already a little skeptical about the whole process.

Susan I would call. They might be more willing to look into the issue rather than passing the buck by telling you to wait 7 days.


I ordered yesterday and got my check mark next to my Ebates transaction today.

I have a feeling it will be back. Last year the regular Orbitz cashback was 5%. It doubled to 10% several times during the year (seemed like every 6-8 weeks) This year it seems like 10% is the standard cashback. If 10% is the regular cashback then anyone they double it, it should go to 20%.

I played around with some leftover 1-day tickets from last fall and was able to move them to another family member in MDE. Here were the steps that I took to do it:
  1. Log into your MDE account.
  2. Go to My Reservations and Tickets. All of your tickets and their assigned Friend or Family Member will be listed.
  3. If the ticket can be reassigned (some will be non-transferable because they've been used at least once by the "owner"), there will be a "reassign ticket" link beneath the name of the Friend/Family Member. Click it.
  4. The next page will have all of your Friends and Family listed with radio buttons next to each one. Click the button next to the new owner's name.
  5. Click the next button. Your ticket will be reassigned.
You can only reassign a ticket to someone who is in your Friends and Family list on MDE. If you think that you might eventually give the ticket away to someone who won't be traveling with you, don't add the ticket to your MDE account.
 
As a data point - I purchased on Sunday night, and the check mark and pending cashed back showed up this morning.

Since it has been 7 days I would send another email. I don't know the phone number but you could try google to find it.

Hi- I had this same issue and emailed ebates customer service sending them the order confirmation I had received from orbitz and they did indeed come through and give me the 20% ebate on both the universal and walt Disney world tickets. Thanks:thumbsup2
 
I purchased the tickets yesterday morning and have a check mark next to my shopping trip this morning.

I purchased 2 adult and 1 child 10 day park hopper with water park and saved $319.50 over the price listed on Disney!
 
Just got my "My Magic Code" from Orbitz and successfully linked my new tickets to my account!!! So excited!!! Thank you again for everyone's help! :cool1:
 
Darn, the 20% off ended, right? I looked on Ebates and am not seeing any % off tickets. Am I looking in the wrong place?
