Ebates 20% back for Orbitz tickets

OK. I'm struggling to decide if I should go ahead and keep my package for now and order these and hope for a free dining pin... or just not get these tickets. We usually get PINS but nothing is for sure.

Ugh!

You could order for 2 days less than what you need. If free dining pin is released, then add a two day ticket (all that is required to add a dining plan) to your package and get the free dining.

If free dining isn't offered, when you get to the parks, add more days to your ticket. You'll have to pay the price increase price because they upped the price of the tickets  but it won't be that much because you are adding two days to the end of the ticket.

I ordered my tickets Thursday night. I e-mailed Orbitz for the My Magic code, and they gave me the will call confirmation number from my purchase confirmation e-mail, which didn't work to link the tickets. I called them, and asked again, and they gave me a code that was 4 letters followed by 8 numbers. That worked to link all of the tickets to my Disney account, and then I was able to assign them to people.

FWIW, I put June 2014 dates on my purchase with Orbitz, but that didn't make any difference. The tickets linked up just fine.

And Ebates just sent me an update showing the $$ in my account. I saved $284.78. Thank you to everyone for all of your help!!!

Does anyone know what the percentage of orbucks we will be getting from this offer? Never mind I guess orbucks can not be earned for activity purchases.

But remember if you purchase with you SWA CC you will get RR points.

Breaking news: someone posted there is a new package called Better Together which allows you to book the DDP without buying tickets!!! Might be worth investigating it if you are into that sort of thing!

I want to buy the DL 4 day park hopper and upgrade to an AP.
Can I use more than 1 day of the park hopper before I go to Guest Services to upgrage to the AP?

I was thinking of using the park hopper in July (when the S. Cal AP is blacked out) for 2-3 days, then upgrading the the S. Cal AP.
Do I get full credit for the 4 day hopper towards the AP even if I already used a few days of hopper?

Please helppixiedust:

Thank you!

Considering my trip is not until the end of May, it feels like a gamble to buy these non refundable tickets from Orbitz. On the other hand, it's hard to pass up $217 off Disney tickets... Decisions, decisions!

I just tried to call Disney and was told I would need to call guest services which is not open on Sunday. I am going to call tomorrow again. This is really starting to bug me - not knowing.

As long as you are planning to go, I don't see how it's a gamble. I bought mine Thursday and they are already linked to MDE. I don't think I even have to pick them up if I don't want to!

Just wondering has anyone who called Disney asked the question I am wondering about? Can you pick up your tickets on the dates that you indicated on your order but not use the tickets until another trip. I know that several people have done this in the past, but I just want to be sure that these are the same MYW tickets that everyone gets and that they are not tied to a specific use date.

We are planning to go, I just worry of the unexpected coming up and derailing everything. :)

Yes, this has been answered several times by people who have actually done this. You have nothing to worry about.

I wasn't going to buy Disney tickets because I don't need them for this trip, I'm planning on using days off a previous NE ticket. But, the price increase last night threw me over the edge. I bought the 3 day + 2 days "free" base tickets. I figure I can upgrade those to whatever I need when the time comes. I also used a credit card that's currently giving 5% cash back on travel agents. So if everything comes through.

$280 for the tickets
-$56 ebates
-$14 credit card rewards
-----------------------------
$210 for 5 days compared to $324 from Disney as of today.

I was considering getting Universal tickets as well but my trip isn't until January and I wasn't sure about getting the actual tickets.

Thanks everyone for the help.

If you're really that worried, don't invest such a large amount of money on tickets. You'll end up spending more on ulcer medications that you will save on the tickets.

Really, you have asked this question repeatedly. Other than those of us who did this deal in the past and have already confirmed that the tickets were regular MYW tickets, what more do you want in the way of reassurance?

Do you still have to pickup anything at will-call if you link them via MDE?

Also, I need 7 days...so do I just buy a 7 day or can you upgrade the 3+2 day tickets, or is it the same either way.

I can assure you there are regular, plain old MYW tickets linked to my MDE account...they have no specific dates attached to them! I'm not even supposed to pick them up until March!

If you get the 7 day now, you will get 20% of the entire purchase. If you upgrade a 5 day yo 7 day on die, you will not get the 20% back on the delta. If it were my, I work get the 7 day now. But if the trip is a long time off, maybe you don't want yo invest all the money now.
