Ebates 20% back for Orbitz tickets

Thanks again! You are so nice and I hope you are right!
We are going for the first time during flower and garden - looking forward to it!

You're Welcome. I just remember how nervous I was about the whole thing the first time I did it.

If you happen to have a problem at will call, don't panic. Last October they couldn't find my reservation and told me to call Orbitz. I was borderline panicking because it was quite a few tickets. My relative, who had her own Orbitz voucher, was with me and had the same problem. It turned out they just didn't know how to bring up the reservations. The cm at guest relations (ended up there because the ones at will call basically told me to call Orbitz and offered no other help) ended up calling tech support and they helped her pull up the reservation. So if you have a problem, ask the cm to call tech support.

Flower and garden festival is really nice. Have a great trip.

This deal was too good to pass up so I got it yest. BUT we were planning on a water park the first day. We won't be able to do that with these vouchers huh? Seems we need to go to one of the 4 parks first?

This is going to screw up my ADR's!!!

The voucher does say that you need to go to any ticket window at the 4 theme parks. You're right that it doesn't mention any of the waterparks or DtD guest services locations. You might want to PM Cheshire Figment about this. He works in the ticket booth, often at the waterparks. He should be able to tell you whether you can exchange an Orbitz voucher as you originally planned.

ETA: You don't have to use one of those park days just because you picked the tickets up at one of the theme parks. It won't use up a park day if you were to, let's say, pick up your tickets at the International Gateway to Epcot and then head over to Blizzard Beach without ever going into Epcot.

True - BUT won't I have to pay for parking at Epcot first?

We weren't even going to get 5 days passes to begin with cause HS was our least fav last year. But now I think we will do HS the first day and maybe head to water park for PM until close. I grabbed lunch slots for 1220 pm at Hollywood and Vine.

If you are staying on Disney property you won't have to pay for parking at any of the parks (it's complimentary). If you aren't staying on property you can park at the Boardwalk or Beach club hotels and then walk to the International Gateway ticket booth and redeem your tickets. Or park at the Contemporary hotel and walk to the Magic Kingdom.

If you plan to got to HS before the water park- it doesn't seem like you have a problem at all:)

I bought our tickets Tuesday and the cash back just appeared in my Ebates account about an hour ago. It is scheduled to be on the May 15th check. I bought 2 adult and 2 child 5 day base tickets. Gate price is about $1190 with tax. The deal on Orbitz (buy 3 days get 2 free) price is $1083 with tax. Taking off the Ebates cash back ($217) we saved about $325 (final cost of $866). What a great deal!

I love seeing all the money being saved! My cash back was posted yesterday also.

I bit the bullet and bought the tickets now for our December trip. I plan to pick up the tickets on my April trip. I just dislike laying out money for a trip that occurs after our next 2 trips. But in the long run it saves us money so I just got to go with it. Thanks OP!

Btw, I thought that 10.5% was an awesome deal. Which is why I first posted about it last year. However, 20% is reason to :cheer2:!!!!!!

How do you find out how much you get back from ebates? It says up to 20% but where do I find out what actual percentage you get back?

Thanks for that tip too. I was planning to go to guest relations anyways because I want to upgrade my daughters tickets to AP's. I am-also planning to buy TIW card so I might as well do everything all at the same time!
I do hope I get the rebate. I just don't understand why it shows up so fast for some people and not others. I never looked to see how quickly things posted in ebates for me before because it was never such a large amount.

As far the voucher, is it just the confirmation e-mail from Orbitz or something else? I got an e-mail that has a confirmation number, but on the e-mail it says, "You will receive an e-mail with the voucher?" I haven't gotten anything else?

NEVER MIND: I now see the part that says, "Print voucher"

I e-mailed E-Bates customer service and asked if my rebate would post to my account after purchase or after travel. I specifically stated that my travel dates are not until October. This was the reply I got this morning....

Dear Kristen,

Thank you for your email. If you place your travel order with Orbitz, the Cash Back will follow the 7 day from order date. Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns. I thank you for your time.

Since others have already confirmed that the cashback will post shortly after PURCHASE, not date of travel, I figured that this is just extra confirmation.

I pulled the trigger and bought ours today. It hurts a little because we still have 8 months to save for the trip. Based on my budget, we will have enough when the trip rolls around, but I had to empty the vacation account today to cover these tickets:headache:.

Please tell me that EBates is on Pacific Time!!

I checked my tracking tickets, just to make sure that I have the tracking ticket number in case I need it and the most recent one I see is time-stamped 12:22pm. I made my purchase at 3:22pm by my clock and I wasn't even home around noon so I am fairly certain it is a different time zone. Can anyone ease my mind??

Yes, they are on the west coast - San Francisco to be exact. My Orbitz time stamp on Ebates is also 3 hours earlier than the time stamp on my confirmation email.

OK, Marionnette, you have been abundantly helpful throughout this thread and I have one more question for you:hug:. I noticed that the tickets on the Orbitz site say "*3-Day Base Ticket + Park Hopper + 2 DAYS FREE"...What is the "*" all about? I can't find any "footnote" or additional details. What I am wondering is this...when I get the tickets from Will Call, I assume that they are 5-Day Park Hoppers, correct? Not 3-Day Park Hoppers with some sort of promo tag? I will be upgrading them to AP's and I wonder if I will be getting "credit" for a 3-day or 5-day pass.

I bought the very same tickets from Orbitz last year and they were regular 5-day MYW Hoppers when I picked them up. There were no "promotional" days on the tickets that might expire or anything like that. It's just a way for Orbitz to sell the 5-day tickets at such a low price. If you notice, they don't even offer a 3-day hopper!
