I'm all about booking the lower category so that we can cruise more oftenThat being said, I love the split bathroom too much to go back to a cat 11, especially with more than two people in the cabin. So I've booked at cat 10 for my last two cruises, and for this upcoming one.
I just booked our fall cruise with NCL this week. We're doing 10 nights to Canada/New England and using up all of our NCL credit card rewards. They just changed the program on us, so this will be our last super cheap cruise thanks to the credit card. No biggie-- it frees me up to go on other cruiselines!
Pama is pomegranate liquor - it tastes lovely in champagne. My New Year's Eve drunk texting was all because of pama and champagne......Lionel confiscated my phone

Unfortunately I am going to have to cancel my reservation for this trip - wife's orders...
But she's going to make it up to me. Since we can't cruise with Disney she promised NY to Southampton on the QM2, and until then she is finally letting me adopt that labrador retriever puppy I have wanted for a few years.

I don't think that it matters how many are sailing; upgrades are mysterious.
I think this cruise is going to be about 1/2 full... it's during school and lots of people can't take the kids out as much as they could for the PC because of the trip to or from Europe...
That just means that Nan has 50 % more of a chance of not having to eject anyone out of her rainforest chair!!!

If the cruise is only half full, DCL may not give many upgrades just for the principal of the thing ..... why should they give away something that should have been bought if it is really what the passenger wants?
Maybe I'm different but if someone buys a Fuji apple because it is cheaper why should I give them a more expensive Golden Delicious apple even if I do have an extra?
