EB Repositioning 4/10/2010 Taking the MAGIC out to sea again in April!

Oh well, doesn't look like we will add on rooms thru Disney, the rates are way too high. If we used them for the hotel they would have made up the difference on the airfare, this way they will lose our airfare (which may please them) and lose hotel add ons.

The CM even mentioned the DIS boards in our converstation. I'm dumbfounded how poorly run DCL continues to be. Unlike the huge uproard with our increase on the Panama situtation this will only effect certain people and those people won't have enough voice to get DCL to listen to complaints. It does make me interested in trying to reach that news paper juornalist who wrote up the article on the PC cruise price issue to see if they are intereted in more DCL screw ups. I'd be so interested in being able to pull out the P&L just for DCL to see what they earn on this leg of Disney.

DCL decided that we needed to help them pay for the crossing by giving us a $100 per person rate increase. There was such an out roar that they reversed their decission.

Just got off the phone with DCL. They will not change/add on rooms/nights and keep the airfare the same.

If you got yours added on, I hope you have it in writing, as the CM told me that the air dept is going to be calling those back that have changed it and tell them that they will not honor that change.

I can not get the image copied and pasted into my sig. Any suggestions. I keep doing the copy and when I get to the sig it won't let me paste.

Well I found where to create a signature but no clue how to get the pictures added. I would like to put a DVC one and the one that was created for our TA cruise. Any ideas? Somehow you are all getting it to work. I didn't realize I was so computer un-savvy.

Nan - Adding hotel was very complicated, and yes they said (after the fact) that adding the hotel does change the air price. If you have the special air and do NOT want to lose it, I suggest you do absolutely nothing to your reservation. Like you say Nan- it is probably a wash if you want to stay longer to go ahead and go on your on. I'm sure you can get hotel rooms and transfers for less than the DCL hotel post cruise price.

Here is another question about air & DCL -
if you do have air with DCL, do you think you have to pay for your luggage or will that be included in the cost?

Welcome! Are you in TN? We live in Jackson - love to see others from TN going - we homeschool and if we were in school this cruise is during TCAPS so it would not have been possible - glad your school said yes! My daughter will have just turned 15 the month before the cruise.

What we have been told is if you change the dates, you will get the higher airfare rate. I'm not sure what happens if you missed your flight- I would think you would be covered if DCL messed up on the transports to the airport...that would be the only way to miss it I think since DCL does the transfers? If you intentionally missed it, I'm not sure what they would do. I'm not sure I'd want to test those waters!

Also, I don't remember anything about the $75 fee being able to allow you to change the return rate. Is that the case? I recall they mentioned about a $75 fee that would allow you to request to fly with another cabin passengers (so for our party, we would add that once we can so I can fly with DH and other kids). They told me we couldn't add that yet - I think they said to call back sometime in May. Anyone else have ideas about that $75 extra charge? Now I am wondering if we chose to add it, maybe they would change the lower rates?
