Eaton Centre Order Mix-up

On Saturday I called the Eaton Centre Disney store and ordered 3 items (was really hard to keep it so low with all the cute Christmas things) and I got one of 2 boxes delivered today.

Why only one is a whole other story that I will not get into since the other box was on the guys truck and he would not unload it...

My first thought was what?!? two boxes and this one is HUGE!!!

I open the box while the kids are at hockey with DH... so TOTALLY NOT my order, but one to dream about!

Christmas stockings, tree skirt, Tiana costume, on and on and the other box has not even arrived. I called the store ASAP since I knew someone out there would be missing this fantastic collection of goodies. The night manager is handing it off to the store manager tomorrow since I live in Montreal and it is not like I can drop the stuff off.

So, if you ordered a fantastic box of Disney goodies and received a box with Minnie, Lanny, and a Minnie cupcake baking set... we have each other's orders. If you happen to live in Montreal, let me know and we can switch.

Hope you get your order soon. Maybe you will get lucky and they will tell you to keep that order as it will cost them too much money to pick it up-wouldn't that be nice!

The Disney Stores carry basically the same in the US and Canada... and most of it is on the disney store web site. I call with several things in mind and see what they have. Then they charge my cc and sip it my way. No duty or US disney store excess shipping rates to Canada issues!

I have done it before and will do it again... used to go to Ottawa, but then it closed.

I am not worried about mine, sounds like they can just send me out another. I would LOVE to keep the tree skirt!

Cool - when I called the Vaughan Mills store about shipping to Ottawa, the woman said it was a "no go these days". Not sure why

Me thinks this might be a good time to give the Eaton Centre a call!

Maybe b/c Vaughn Mills is the outlet? Or maybe it was too close to when they moved locations?

I know, it was weird. When Sean was running the store, the staff was awesome - never had an issue. I sort of wonder given the new/temp location is so small, if the staff just doesn't have the space to take, process and pack orders anymore.

Regardless, I am going to have to look at DisneyShopping tomorrow - see if I can a couple items up here before we leave

I live out West and I don't know your stores. So I'm just trying to figure out how you get Disney Store merchandise to your house! I might be interested in that as it's about an hour drive to the closest Disney Store.

Yep! And sorry for any confusion, the "Eaton Centre" part is just which Toronto location I called. Toronto has 4 Disney stores and we are 6 hours away, so driving is not an option. We used to road trip with the kids to the Ottawa store, but it closed several months ago now.

We do the same for Pottery Barn Kids and some other stores that do not have location in QC, and will either not ship to Canada or it is too expensive to be worth it to be shipped to Canada.

I went to use my Visa card at the Vaughan Mills store on Nov. 15 and the cashier said they have not been able to accept credit cards since they opened (Cash or debit only). This may be why they can't process phone orders.
