My sister & I & our dh's will be going to WDW in Nov. We have 7 kids altogether, aged 1 yr to 11 yrs. Where could we go & eat together that would be relatively quiet (not Chef Mickeys, for example) but still child-friendly. I was thinking the Rose & Crown? I think our kids would like the food there, what is the atmosphere like?

Crystal Palace? O'hana's? Also, would Sci-Fi let our 4 eldest sit together? It won't feel like eating together to them if they are not together.

Thanks!

Oh, we'll be there 9 days so it really doesn't matter where the place is, resort or park, as we'll be all over.

We have 5 children ranging in age from 4 to 18 and I would definitely give a thumbs up to Ohana's, our oldest kids loved it and the little ones are entertained as well with the coconut races, etc. It was a great meal!

I TOTALLY agree! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 My 9 & 11 year old boys loved it. And the DH still talks about the meat there. YUM!!!!

If you eat there around the time of the Wishes fireworks, they pipe in the music. Very nice!

we had one of our best meals (w/a group of 12, kids ranging from 10-25!) at Mama Melrose's at the Studios... the food was awesome, the service outstanding, and the "streetosphere" characters that visited our table to entertain us were absolutely priceless!!

If you want a fun, sane, character meal, we like the Lilo and Stitch breakfast at the Polynesian, and the Farmer Mickey dinner at Garden Grill (the restaurant rotates through various geographic landscapes, which kids like). There is also good character interaction at Liberty Tree Tavern. At the Polynesian, Mickey leads the kids in a parade around the restaurant, which are boys love.

Also, Coral Reef is always a winner with our boys -- they love watching the sharks, turtles, etc.

The Princess meals at the Castle are fun, but pricey.

Sci Fi is fun, but some kids get scared by the movies.

Marrakesh at the Morocco pavilion in Epcot is often not crowded and has live music and a belly dancer who brings the kids up to dance with her.

I would choose any place that brings the food to you. My SIL and family went last year with their 7 kids and they ate at ALOT of places (on the free ddp last September). My SIL said he will NEVER eat at another buffet with the kids again. By the time they got food for all of the kids, it was time to get more for the first ones and they never got to really enjoy their meal at all. So choose carefully, but remember how much work it will be if you choose buffets. There are several character meals that actually bring you food if you want to go that route. Other than that I would choose some quieter and relaxing places, maybe 50s Prime Time, Olivia's at OKW, WCC, Coral Reef, Garden Grill to name a few.
