I eat 90-95% paleo meaning if i cant hunt it, kill it or pluck it, i cant eat it. I limit sugar altho i still allow myself to have it, im not a strict crazy paleo eater, i dont make all my own sauces or anything, i need to live a little. Anyway, my breakfasts normally are eggs & bacon, eggs & sweet potato hash, a green smoothie, or i juice. Im sure its not possible to get a juicer but what are the chances of being able to get a blender & the ingredients i need for my smoothies since i know i wont want eggs every morning? (Almond milk, spinach, frozen strawberries, blueberries, banana). This will be our 1st dvc trip this fall.

Housekeeping can bring a blender to the room if you call them after arrival.

As for the other items, bananas are probably the only item you will find in the resort store. If you don't have a car, you would probably need to consider a grocery delivery service (We Go Shop or Garden Grocer) for those items.

Rent a car or take a cab to the Fresh Market in Dr Phillips. Good for you for going Paleo. We tried it and just couldn't do it. But 2 of my friends are paleos. One is super strict because she has colitis. We try to eat organic as much as possible. My sister eats organic, no sugar, almost vegan, raw, etc. She lived in Orlando and recommends the Fresh Market. She now lives in Missouri but will be in Orlando in June/July and cannot wait to go food shopping there. She is actually bringing her Vitamix with her. She got the idea from Food Babe who travels with her Blendtec.

Michael has answered your question. I just wanted to add that if you're staying at BWV or BCV, you're a quick walk to the Dolphin. I know it's not the same as eating in the room, but there's a juice bar in the Fresh Mediterranean Market there. It's part of the breakfast buffet, so I'm not sure if you can get the juices ala-carte. If not, the buffet also has an eggs-cooked-to-order station, and would certainly also have bacon.

Whole Foods delivers? That's the first I've heard of it.

Wonder if anyone has compared prices for doing it this way versus having WeGoShop go there.

According to their website, they've partnered with Doorstep Delivery which is a restaurant delivery service. The delivery fee for the Phillips Crossing location is $20 to $50 plus tip.

I was Paleo while visiting Disney for the 2012 Disney Princess Half Marathon. I did not prepare food in my room, but do have the following suggestions for good Paleo restaurants:

Kat Cora's Kouzzzina - I had the mussels and then the fisherman's stew

Flame Tree BBQ in Animal Kingdom

Whispering Canyon Cafe - the all you can eat bbq was awesome. I just skipped the beans and corn and ate the salad

You will easily find salads on all the quick service menus for lunch though I got tired of eating salad everyday.

That is great you are doing Paleo while on vacation. DH and are are working to do that diet as well. However I think my husband will want a funnel cake at Liberty Square it would be hard to resist.::yes::

I have walked around the 'world' many times to get a funnel cake in the past. Those were my favorite! Topped with strawberries! Don't think I'll be able to enjoy it this time unless I want to give myself a belly ache. :( I thought once I went paleo I'd be able to sometimes eat those kind of things but that's not the case. I think I'd have to take an omeprazole before to counteract anything. I lost 22# from Jan. 8th to end of march & have been able to maintain my weight. I feel fantastic! I was never really very over weight, but now I'm the healthiest I've ever been, I have so much more muscle tone and I'm very pleased with myself. :o) Paleo isn't for everyone of course, but its defiantly a mind over matter lifestyle. If you can get past the 1st 30 days, you can make it a positive life changing commitment.

I am Paleo as well, and was planning on having Garden Grocer deliver a fair share of fresh fruits and veggies to our room. The Paleo lifestyle works for me, and it's nice to know it can be continued in WDW! :-)

I get quite a few comments about costs when I discuss my concentration of organic veggies and fruits in my diet. Today, while grocery shopping, I experienced a funny 'shopping comparison' and thought of this thread. So how these two orders stack up?

The gal directly ahead of me today bought a single serving YooHoo (bottled chocolate drink) and four large chocolate bars of various brands similar to Lindt. Her total was $17. (I'm guessing she had a rough Monday?)

I bought two large shopping bags of organic produce including 5lbs of carrots, large bunch of bananas, 2 heads of leafy romaine, 2 cucumbers, 2 bell peppers, 1 bunch of kale, and 1 head of cabbage. My total was $20.

Hmm?
