My husband and I LOVE to eat. Everywhere we go, it's always, "What are we going to eat and where are we going to eat?" Now, I know Disney is not know for it's 5 star dining, but we're going next year for our son and for us to have a good time.

If you love to eat your way through your vacay, please let us know what we have to get whether it be snacks, drinks (we don't drink alcohol), CS, TS, or desserts. Tell us! We're eating b-fast in our hotel room every morning.

Here is what I have "planned" so far (keeping in mind time constraints, we're not on the DDP, and we have a 2 1/2 year old. I am also very picky.)

MGM:
10:45am at Play N Dine at H & V (for my son....loves Playhouse Disney)

Pizza Planet at 4pm for dinner (again, we are a pizza-loving family, and we like the PP here at DL. We also don't have time at this park to really "sit" and eat, so....

Epcot:
Sunshine Seasons for lunch (11am)

Dinner: Not sure!! I don't think we'll have a lot of time to have a super long sit down here, either. Suggestions??

AK:
Flame Tree @ 11am for my BBQ-lovin husband, and because it is a quick CS...

dinner: 1900 park fare character dining, because the AK closes at 5pm. (Ressies around 6:30pm??)

MK:
Pinocchio's Village haus (again, not a lot of time) 11am

dinner: thinking about CP at 4pm for the characters and to eat a lot!

DTD:
Wolfgang Puck Express or Bongos Cuban cafe?? I know my hubs will pick Cuban, because it's different, but I think I'm leaning towards WGP.

PLEASE give me your input. I have done tons of research and read lots of reviews, and then smashed them together with our needs/timeframe. Thanks all....

suggestions and "must-eats" welcome!

Are you guys totally against doing any TS restaurants other than buffets? If you are, then I think your plan looks really good. I would suggest that if you choose to eat at Wolfgang Puck's (definitely over Bongos-as far as I'm concerned, Bongos is watered down Cuban at best) and are considering a TS for the DTD meal that you do the Cafe and not the Express.

Our DTD night is the night we fly in from S. Cali, so I think we will be very tired. I am agreeing the WPE looks better than Cuban as well. We're pretty set against TS, only because we're only here for 4 days, (then on to the cruise!) and we want to see as much as possible, w/o sitting for a meal for 2 hours. Thanks for the input! :)

Come on DISers. I know you have boatloads of info waiting to spill out of your brains....

If you have time and are going to be spending some time in Epcot I highly suggest Rose and Crown Pub in the United Kingdom (world Showcase)

I think you will love the Crystal Palace I went their last month for breakfast, and absolutely loved the food, and the interaction with the characters.
We also ate my birthday dinner at 1900 Park Fare and it was great as well.

I think the problem you may have with getting responses is that most people who go on vacation with a focus on food wouldn't necessarily choose the places you have. I totally know what you mean about the, "What are we going to eat and where are we going to eat?" discussion. My family puts a priority on dining & accommodations above all else. We prefer very limited counter service & non-buffets. However, your situation is different from ours, & I can understand why you've made the choices you have. I just can't offer much useful info for you, & think others who love food may feel the same. Wish I could help. Sorry :(

DH and I are BIG foodies - in fact, as soon as we've booked our reservation, the only thing we think about for weeks is exactly where we'll be eating and what we'll have there. The places we love most are all TS places, though, so it won't be of much help to you. But, I can tell you we just got back from our Disneymoon in May, and we ate at Pinocchio's Village Haus our last day and didn't enjoy it at all. Maybe you could try Columbia Harbor House instead? The food is excellent and a bit different from the normal 'burger and fries' theme park food. But, if you ARE looking for burgers and fries, the BEST are at Pecos Bill in Frontierland - everything on that menu is excellent, they have a huge toppings bar, and plenty of seating.

What else? We always make sure we get a sweet cream cheese pretzel at the Lunching Pad in Tomorrowland, and like to 'snack' our way around the World Showcase in Epcot, instead of sitting down at a counter service place.

I hope that helps at least a bit!
