We're thinking of buying some sort of snack at each country's pavilion to share as a family. Any recommendations? Something which must not be missed?

The kids are wanting to try traditional foods from around the world, but when it comes down to it, I'm not sure how adventurous their pallets will turn out to be. Should be fun though.

Anyone else done this?

Mexico- they have exceptional nachos at the Quick Service Restaurant.
Norway- School bread, lefsa, or the sweet pretzel
France- anything in the bakery is great! The crepes are also outstanding.
America- could be considered boring but they have great Funnel Cake
Germany- Great sweet treats can be found in the Carmel Kuchen (sp?) especially the apples.

Yep,it is a lot of fun.We will do around the world for snacks, desserts or sweets or all 3 depending on how late our dinner is.

Favorites:
Japan:spicy tuna roll,sukiyaki beef roll
Mexico :quesadillas or flautas
Morocco:anything lamb or baklava
Refreshment Port:empanadas, dulce de leche ice cream
China:pot stickers,orange or sesame chicken,ginger ice cream
France:just about anything, napoleons and fresh crepes especially
America:funnel cake and 1 turkey leg :rotfl:per lifetime
Norway:school bread,sandwiches,tarts
Germany:bratwurst

Also we add candies, caramels and chocolates as we go.Enjoy.

My kids went real authentic and had a pretzel in Germany! :rotfl:

In Italy, Baci chocolates are a quick, cheap (relatively), yummy snack. :thumbsup2

France-Definitely the napoleon...best dessert ever
Norway-The Cloud Horn is light, fluffy, and delicious
Mexico-Nachos looked good. Don't do the tacos...the meat is disgusting.

I dont think that having an adventurous palate will be a big deal unless it was the F&W where the foods are a bit more out there.....you will find the basic stuff at the countries regular CS places.

For us we love

Norway - rice dream
China - shrimp fried rice and Peach Oolong Ice Tea
Italy - the chocolates!
Japan - Kakigori (shaved ice)
Germany - braut and kraut and ANYTHING from the new caramel shop
Morocco - Falafel and couscous
France - anything from the bakery

I'll bet your kids would like a Kaki Gori in Japan.

Enjoy!

Will have to try that! Just wanted to say that the cat in your picture looks a lot like mine. White with very similar looking stripes on his tail, and spots here and there. Too funny, I thought he was one of a kind!

Oh, that's so sweet. We found Ricki at Petsmart two days after our cat named Bunny died. I didn't even know Petsmart had cats but they rescue them from the pound. Ricki is a blessing, Hidden Mickey and all. :)
