My husband and I are thinking of trying to eat and drink our way around Epcot. Would love to hear everyones favorite food and drinks from each country. We are going in May with our 3 kids and this will be our date night. So we want to do it right and indulge!

My DH and I would like to do this too when we go next time (February). Maybe I can convince my mom that we need an afternoon/evening to ourselves without the girls and she'll agree to hang out with them!
I've only tried a few things so far, but I also have a couple more on my list.
Norway- desserts in the bakery (School Bread or something else sweet)
Japan- Sushi from CS (can't remember the name). I had a California roll last time and it was tasty!
France - sweets and Grey Goose slushy, very yummy!
England - Fish and chips

I can't think of anything else at the moment, but I'm interested to hear from others as well.

What is the Grey Goose slusy, sounds interesting.

I would plan the evening around some of the great shows/bands at Epcot. Are you looking for TS dinner, or more nibbles around the world?

There is live entertainment in each country including off kilter in canada, a beatles cover band in UK. Some pretty decent cs can be found or some excellant TS including bistro in france. Not on hte DDP and no kids menu.

Here is a link to the DIS Menus which can givbe you an idea of the different CS options and drinks

If you can get the search function to work, there have been lots of threads about this - I saw one just last week, actually. It would give you lots more ideas I'm sure.

We've done the eat/drink before - bring lots of money =)

Mexico - Split a nacho platter but I would get a churro if I had another chance; I find the CS food here really gross, honestly. With a margarita, of course.

Norway - pastry from the bakery and beer

China - egg rolls and plum wine

Germany - pretzel and beer

Japan - sake and an unusual packaged snack from the store, or sushi from the CS

Morocco - we actually can't resist a platter from Tangierine Cafe and go ahead and have a meal here that day if we can work it in (split between us)

France - I stick with wine tastings, but the drinks from the cart get rave reviews. The cheese plate from the bakery is my favorite, but the crepes are always intriguing too

Italy - wine tasting, no CS here so I just drink more wine ;)

America - I skip; no need to waste tummy room for that!

UK - beer and fish/chips

Canada - nothing; you could buy a snack from the shop but I never bother. Too bad they don't have anything anymore other than LeCellier...

I think that's all?

Just us no kids that's the plan. A good band is a great idea. I think we will nibble and be merry. But we will see. Just keep the ideas coming!

We did this a few summers ago, except we sampled all of the adult beverages from around the world and hit a few counter service places for food! Here are a few things that we learned...
1) Limoncello from Italy is NASTY after beer from Germany!
2) The Beer from Africa/Morroco is cold, but not great tasting.
3) NEVER try to keep pace with anyone from the UK!!!!
4) Ask the CM for suggestions. We would have never known about the Snake Bite that is served at the Rose and Crown. (Harps and Strong Bow mixture!!)

We stayed at EPCOT all day... this is not something to try to do in two hours!

Have a great trip!!! We are going to do this again in December!

Thanks for the hints! We don't have all day probably about 4 hours inside the park and 1 hour travel time. We are going to get one of the babysitting services. Our ds will be 12 when we go and the other 2 are dd9 and dd4 so I feel comfortable enough to leave them with a caregiver from Disney. Plus my son has a cellphone if he needs us for anything. I think this will be fun for us I love to eat and try new things and my husband is a beer guy likes to try diff brews. We have a couple of local taverns that brew their own and he likes to try them me I like wine and fruity stuff!

Norway - school bread, rice cream

Mexico - margarita

China - plum wine

Germany - beer, bratwurst

Italy - wine

America - funnel cake

Japan - Kaki gori from the stand, sushi (but I would stop and eat at the sushi counter for this - much better selection than the CS)

Moracco - schwarma platter from tangerine cafe

France - crepes, pastry from the bakery, champagne, gran marnier slushie

England - fish and chips

canada - beer

My DH always has to have the chocolate mousse in Norway, I like the rice cream. He likes the beer in Germany and I like Guinness in England. We both like mararitas in Mexico and also any pastry in French.

One year dh just wanted to try the different beers around the world, (we share) but they just dont mix well with some of our favorite foods!!

I dont like the tri flavored margarita, I stick with the plain frozen margarita... dd loves the conga juice here btw

Norway - pastry from the bakery and beer see dh liked the beer here, but it didnt go with the pastries!!

China - egg rolls and plum wine mmmm plum wine, kinda sweet - I like the dumplings over egg rolls...

Germany - pretzel and beer They also have a wine flight in the store - back by the Christmas store - I'm not good at giving a direction here - but we enjoyed the Reisling wine...

Japan - sake and an unusual packaged snack from the store, or sushi from the CS dh loves sushi and beer...

Morocco - we actually can't resist a platter from Tangierine Cafe and go ahead and have a meal here that day if we can work it in (split between us)
we also enjoy the offerings here - seems like they had a frozen drink too..
France - I stick with wine tastings, but the drinks from the cart get rave reviews. The cheese plate from the bakery is my favorite, but the crepes are always intriguing too my downfall!! Love the wine flight, Love the champagne, LOVE the Grey Goose Slush - it has the lime flavor, citrus, the Gran Marnier is delish - dh's fav, but it has more of a mellow flavor, not crisp citrus - hard to compare!! And how I love the pastries - dd also enjoyed the onion tart from France!!

Italy - wine tasting, no CS here so I just drink more wine ;) ROSA REGALE CHAMPAGNE!! :cool1: much trumpeted here - it is a rose color champagne, with a hint of strawberry, or berry notes, not dry.. not overtly sweet!! IF you buy it in the Italy store, you get a dark chocolate treat to go with it!! YUMMM

America - I skip; no need to waste tummy room for that!
Sam Adams Food and WIne Festival beer - skip the lobster roll please, it was mostly filler and mayonaise!! We do enjoy the funnel cake, but at Magic Kingdom its a snack credit, not so in EPCOT...

UK - beer and fish/chips besst place to get those blaCK AND tans etc Half guiness and half anoter lager -

Canada - nothing; you could buy a snack from the shop but I never bother. Too bad they don't have anything anymore other than LeCellier...
during food and wine we do get the cheese soup, and the maple salmon, and some ICE WINE!! Missed the days when you could get the beaver tail snack!!
I think that's all?

Awesome selections!!

Norway - school bread, rice cream

Mexico - margarita

China - plum wine

Germany - beer, bratwurst

Italy - wine

America - funnel cake

Japan - Kaki gori from the stand, sushi (but I would stop and eat at the sushi counter for this - much better selection than the CS)

Moracco - schwarma platter from tangerine cafe

France - crepes, pastry from the bakery, champagne, gran marnier slushie

England - fish and chips

canada - beer

Great List, simple, direct and delicious!!

Hopefully you will be there during Flower Festival in May and can catch a "Flower Power" concert. Grab a beer or wine and sit and listen to the outdoor concert. My favorites for white wine are "Liebfraumilch" in Germany or "Vouvray" in France. Or just strolling through World Showcase with a cocktail on a warm May night is wonderful! We always end the night by splitting a "Napolean" pastry in France. Bon Appetit! :)

I am getting some great ideas. Thanks. I think we will be there during the Flower fest. The more posts I read the more excited I am for our trip. I know we have awhile but palnning is almost as much fun as the trip!

Well I will start at the beginning: we love the Nachos at Mexico (I also like the Conga which is actually a nonalcoholic fruit drink).

NOw I am out of order: I loved the Ham and cheese and Chocolate croissants in France and like you said the Grey Goose Slush,

Peach Belini almost knocked me out in Italy. I did not like the gelato here I had the chocolate
Pretzel in Germany, do the wine tasting
My husband just gets beer everywhere LOL

We usually do TS at China and Japan at some point so to be honest we never do CS there.

Norway was ok, but I did not have anything that was that memorable.

there's a little margarita stand outside of mexico that has a multi-layered margarita with 4 different flavors. It's the best!

What is the Grey Goose slusy, sounds interesting.

It is a super tasty, frozen vodka drink. It is cool and refreshing. Dh and I loved it although the "glass" it comes in is prone to spilling so it was hard to push a stroller and drink one at the same time. Must drink fast!

Okay yummy right up my alley! Its on my list

I think the bakeries in Norway and France have so many great options. I'd skip all the other countries and just go crazy at those two places! :worship:
