Hi Everyone.

I am getting on well with an itinerary, but have not yet planned a meal for our third day. We are planning on spending the day in the studios and I want to plan where to eat. Does anyone have any thoughts on the best restaurant to eat at here or would it be better to leave the studios to eat?

I would be grateful for any opinions!! Thanks!!

Two weeks to go!!! Woo hoooooo!!!!!

If you are after a counter service then we can recommend Backlot Express :)

I would plan to leave and eat at the Village, just 5 mins walk away at the most. There are very few options available and the food you can get is of a very low standard. Just my opinion and it may have improved but I have eaten there three times (hoping it would be better than last time  ) and never been happy so unless 25 people come foward with amazing reviews I wouldnt eat inside the Studio's again

:yay:

Depends what you are looking for. If it is just a snack then we've had nice baguettes and croque monsieurs in the Backlot which has great theming, also Restaurant En Coulise in Studio 1 does quite a good pizza to share with garlic bread.

However if you want something more substantial then I would definitely go to the Village.

We ate once in Rendez-Vous des Stars in the Studios and although the food was freshly cooked and very nice we found the surroundings very disappointing.

It is interesting to hear this as we always eat here if we are in the studios at lunchtime. both children really like the cafeteria effect and it is beautifull decorated for xmas.

Thank you everyone for your ideas! I think we will have snacks at the studios and then go to the village for a big meal.

Thanks again!!!

Just one more question, we already have a meal booked at Planet Hollywood and Buffalo Bill is there any other restaurant you would recommend at the Village

:thanks: :thanks: :thanks:

Leanne - sorry for hijacking your thread a bit - but's it kinda related....

You say you've already booked buffalo bills and planet hollywood meals.

I was thinking of booking Cafe Mickey's beforehand (and the Plaza Gardens Breakfast). I've been really busy so not got round to it yet - but how did you book them.

I have a number (in France) that I think I'm supposed to ring - but not sure how well they'll understand me.

Last time I went I booked Buffalo Bills and Walt's Breakfast ( 3 years ago when they still did Walt's breakfast) when I checked in at the hotel. I am still in two minds as to whether to book before I go this time.

To answer your question - I remember just getting a snack in WDS last time I was there - We'd had a late Breakfast at Walts and gone to WDS - then we'd booked the early session at Buffalo Bills - so didn't really want anything substantial during the day. I think we just got hotdogs from a wagon...

We've had Hot Dogs/Burgers at En Coulisse - it was OK for a snack, other than that we've never eaten in the Studios. Not much help.:)

Hi

I booked acommodation through Thomson and they booked it all for me! I booked it beforehand because of a deal offered for free children's meals for both! You also get 15% off if you book the Buffalo Bill Show beforehand (only if staying in disney hotel).

On the subject of the telephone number in france, I'm sure I read somewhere that they speak good english because I was worried about this myself!

Hope this is of some help.

I din't think you could book Planet Hollywood in advance?

Hi

I had to book the vouchers in advance as they were a special offer of free kids meals. I have had to book it for a specific day, but not a specific time. I will still have to turn up and queue with everyone else!!

Hope this kinda answers your query :)

One of the reasons we dont tend to eat there at night is the waiting. We usually try to do lunch on our first or last day as the food is great but two teenagers are not good at waiting. I thought they had changed the system.
I hope you have a great meal.
