Does anyone have any good tips for exercising while at Disney. Also where do you dine to stay on track?

We will be staying at the Coronado which I know has a Health Club. Are there any off-site gyms in the area?

Thanks for your help!

Don't forget to account for all the walking you'll be doing while we're there--I'd like to get a pedometer before we go back (just out of curiosity). We drive, so I pack my 10lb hand weights and a workout band. I just use those and do some push ups and sit ups when I get up and before I go to bed. It's not much, but I've never gained while there. Also, when we eat counter service, I order carrots with my burger instead of french fries. I already have carrots everyday for lunch so this wasn't a sacrifice for me.

I agree with DavidandDenise sit upsand push ups, sometimes I will walk in the morning, or swim laps in the evening. I know walking sounds weird, with all the walking you do, but is it cardio walking? Not me, when we are in the parks, it is a leisurely walk.
The pedometer is a great idea, some time ago I posted about how many miles do you walk in a typical day at disney? I can't wait to find out!
DH and I noticed how MUCH food you get at the parks, and sometimes for lunch, we get one entree and split it. We laughed one day at the Sizzler, while tourists were taking pictures of the breakfast buffet...we couldn't believe it, then they told us, they have never seen so much food that you could just help yourself!! So they were taking pictures to show family and friends that it really happened! That was when we realized what kind of society we live in. Bigger portions and eat as much as you like...you have to step back and say, "Do I eat this much when I am at home?"
Anyway, I am rambling!!

there is also a nice walking path around the lake at CSR...I think its just under a mile....makes a nice walk in the mornings...

We stop at the market on the way from the airport to get bottles of water (very expensive in the parks) I order veggies with my sandwich instead of fries and my dd gets the same or sometimes it comes with fruit instead of fries. I splurge on one meal every other day - no counting calories or regrets:teeth: -
My favorite place to eat is Boma's without a doubt. So I'm good for a day and a half and then loose my inhibitions and devour the zebra domes::yes:: We went for 9 days and I stayed the same weight.
You're on vacation - enjoy yourself - life's too short to worry:wave2:
